They have some nice real ale on in this pub and different guest ales that change all the time

Excellent service very friendly great breakfast extremely comfortable bed and room will definitely return

I absolutely love this pub. It's equally as good for a few drinks with some mates or an evening out with my Wife. A brilliant range of ale and cider with a really friendly atmosphere.I don't actually live in Shifnal but it's well worth the short train ride there to go to The Anvil!

What a great pub, decorated in the Black Country Ales style, good traditional pubs. Excellent selection of cask ales to suit all pallets together with a selection of filled rolls etc. A proper pub with real fires, good ales comfy seating what more does a person need? Deservedly in current CAMA good beer guide.

First time visit here in the post Xmas pre NYE "lull" and won't be the last. Great friendly pub with excellent chocolaty stout. Definitely missed out on this one by only doing the regulars on the high street.

First visit but will not be the last on our trips out by train. Local to the station, this is how a proper pub should be with superbly kept real ales considering the variety. All members of our party were duly impressed.
