The Baron at Bucknell in Shropshire

Stayed the weekend for my brothers birthday. Meal on Friday was great and good service.The room was comfy amd clean..Breakfasts was good.If I'm in the area I'd definitely stay again.Thanks. 👍

Beautiful pub in a beautiful area, food was excellent, stayed overnight in ourT5 , highly recommend.

Fantastic service, beautiful setting and great Sunday meals (including amazing vegetarian /vegan options)- we were so glad to have lunch at this place after a long walk!

One of the best Sunday Lunches. Lovely roast beef with all the veg and roasties and heavenly sticky toffee pudding for dessert

A wonderful stay! We were made to feel very welcome by all the staff & were impressed by the attention to small details. The rooms were spotlessly clean and well equipped with tea, coffee, fresh milk, water and delicious homemade shortbread biscuits. Tastefully decorated, comfortable beds and well equipped with smart TV, sockets everywhere you needed them, large fluffy towels & lots of hot water. Loved the ‘proper’ coat hangers that you don’t have to fight with to get things hung up!Good menu which catered for vegetarians and vegans. Our party of 6 enjoyed all the food we ate over our 2 night stay….we are a fussy bunch food wise but we have nothing but praise for everything we had.Our only little criticism is that we would have liked a few more comfortable lounge chairs to linger in for pre/post dinner drinks.However, we all highly recommend The Baron to anyone who is looking for rather more luxury than your standard pub rooms.

Disscrimination poor owner rude. In reply to owners comment I was a separate customer that was enjoying a pint my concern was with the way the owner was handling the lad that had just turned up. Get your facts straight and don't nock my review of your establishment. If you want to bar me as well for writing my review go for it as I won't b coming back. Poor show in this day and age .

Great location. Gorgeous place for a birthday dinner. Was very quiet for a Friday night because of the football I think! Thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The halloumi fries were perfect!

Very comfortable couple of nights. Room spotless, bed comfortable, pillows incredible. Excellent breakfasts, and the restaurant was superb for evenings too. But the best thing is the location, with lots of walks available from the pub, through stunning countryside. Staff were lovely too
