The Bell in Shropshire

Been here quite a few times the past few months. Service has always been great. But last few times the service has been terrible. New bar/ floor staff don’t really seem that bothered. We were waiting at the bar to be served, someone walked in after us and was served before us.Needs improving. We also had two cokes and were given them in little glasses but charged for the normal sizes.Going off this place now. Will have to find somewhere else if the service doesn’t improve.

Gave my friend a dish with nuts when she has a sever nut allergy. My food was nice but the experience was dampened by this

Didn't seem aware that we were staying there, room was freezing, asked for the heating to be put on, they did so and we went down and had a drink while it warmed up, went back to the room and heater was still cold, they bought a small plug in heater, went to bed cold. Although there was a kettle (with stale water in) to make drink there was no milk or sugar, nexr morning went to ask for milk and sugar, everywhere was in darkness, so we just left. The bed was comfortable although very low, so if you have trouble standing up it can be a struggle. The staff were attentive and polite. Over all I think the rooms are for a side business to the restaurant downstairs and don't get much trade from them. Wouldn't stay again

We had an amazing meal here. They serve Nepalese and Indian cuisine, which I think is currently a fairly new thing for the venue.The meal was one of the best currys I've had in a long time. A very calm and relaxing atmosphere and reasonably priced. Spaces are limited so you may need to book in advance 🙂

Found this place by chance, really warm & welcoming. Had an excellent meal with great service while watching the cricket finals on the big screen. Really tasty & well presented food with excellent service - highly recommended!

Great food full of flavour fast and freindly service. Nice size restaurant with decent space between tables. I will definitely be going back there.

Let me just say this first : THE FOOD IS ABSOLUTELY 5 STARS.Hands down, this is the best Indian food in Shifnal. Perhaps even in Telford. It really did blow all of us away.The only thing that knocks off a star is the atmosphere of the place and the fact its not table service. You have to order everything at the bar which is fine in some cases but it did feel strange having to do this for an Indian meal.Another thing was the TVs playing MTV full blast throughout the whole evening. It just wasn't needed-and we all thought it was annoying and strange.If the owners get the atmosphere and overall vibe of the place up to the standard of the food-I could see this place being booked out solidly 7 days a week. The food really is a massive step up from everywhere else in the area. We will absolutely visit again.

Called here with my son when over visiting the pub was excellent and very friendly staff. Really good beer garden with section of it covered over for bad weather. Had few pints of Guinness and it was first class will definitely call again on another visit

A little gem that's hidden down a side street off the main road which is superb little place We had a wonderful evening in the patio area. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food is absolutely gorgeous. Definitely recommend for either a quiet night of food and drink or a get together with a group of friends.

My husband & I booked for Sunday lunch 2wks ago & Wow! what a lunch. The service & the food were excellent. We both had Roast Beef with all the trimmings & Wow! what a plate full, well presented & full of flavour. We both ordered pudding; I asked the waitress what she recommended for pud, it was 'Caramel Cheesecake'. Absolutely delicious.We both thoroughly enjoyed our Sunday lunch very much. Thank You.
