No booking and clearly busy, was made to feel welcome with the staff going out of their way to sort a table. Food, Drink, Service all above above expectations for amount paid. First time visiting, will definitely be going back soon.

Had a hiccup initially with the wrong meals brought out. They immediately said they would sort it but we decided to just accept as we were with family eating together. Lovely pub, comfortable not squashed like many places. Meals very tasty, staff were all absolutely brilliant and with the offer, good price too. Will go again.

This was my first ever visit and I couldn't have been happier. The staff were amazing and friendly, the establishment was really nice, warm, comforting and peaceful. Bust more than anything, the food was wonderful. There was a large group of us split into 2 tabs but that was never an issue, also one of our party wanted a desert to go and that wasn't an inconvenience either. Really wonderful experience. Highly recommended.

For the last 7 years we have been visiting The Bell at Tong every other month to eat with family on a Sunday. Over that time we have seen many changes. However, at our recent visit there was a noticeable change. The atmosphere and friendly service was was the first thing we noticed. The staff were engaging, knowledgeable and helpful. We were a party of 10 and we know from experience that serving everyone promptly can be a challenge. However, all the meal looked and tasted great. My 8oz steak was the best I’ve eaten anywhere in a very long time! Overall the experience was fantastic.

First time back for 3+ years. Not at all disappointed. Staff were lovely, the wine was perfect & the food........nothing ostentatious, just really good pub grub.

We have over 20 guys in our group so every Friday evening we visit a different restaurant the criteria is that it must be in or around the Telford area. Although the Bell Inn is in Tong it does have a Telford postcode so first box ticked. I was running a little late so arrived at the venue around five minutes late, reason it was a frosty night and it took longer than expected to defrost the car. On arrival there was no one in sight that I could see so I made my way into the restaurant via the bar. Some of our group had already arrived so easy to find our table. The staff were a little slow all night considering there didn’t seem to be many people in. I would like to point out that this isn’t a fast food restaurant so again I didn’t mind too much. Although a couple of the group did mention this so I thought I would include. We all had a started followed by a main course. Four of the five starters arrived together the fifth starter however took another six or seven minutes to arrive. Everyone seemed happy with the starters and even the late one was given a was worth waiting for. The main course arrived with a nice space between meals. One member had the mega mixed grill and I have to say it was huge, but at the other end of the scale the member ordered a steak pie and this looked disappointing, and apparently the quality of the pie a let down. I had the fish, chips and garden peas, this was very nice. Everyone was quite happy with the main course except the pie. Desert was a good helping of cheesecake and again this was well excepted. After which drinks were ordered and again very slow in arriving. So all in all a very pleasant evening spent at the Bell Inn, with just a few tweaks this could be a real gem. These are hard times for all of us, and there could be a very good reason for staff shortage that we the public don’t know about. But this was a good place to go and I look forward to a re-visit at some point in the future.
