The food was so amazing. Everything from start to finish was perfect. I highly recommend this quirky restaurant. The staff were very friendly.

What a delightful place & very busy. We were on holiday looking for a dog friendly place & somewhere to eat. We were not disappointed. We had a sharing board and it was utterly delicious. Good customer service as well because the young waiter found us a taxi number as well as we were struggling with the 2 numbers we had. We'll done & we will be back on our next visit 👍

The service was pretty good, we didn't need to wait long for our table. The food was very good, we both had the burger which was delicious. We did order olives for while we waited, they never arrived, despite us reminding the waitress that we'd ordered them.I'd go back again, hopefully next time we'll get our olives!

My partner and I stayed at the Loopy Shrew a few weeks ago it was the 1st time we had stayed over in Shrewsbury but it most definitely won't be our last, in fact we said it will now become a regular haunt. The train journey from home is only 30 minutes away and The Loopy shrew is a 10 minute walk away from the station, as soon as we walked in to the moment we left, we absolutely loved the place. The staff, the food, the cocktails and the room we stayed in were all excellent, we had the best time.Nothing was too much trouble and we felt so welcome there.100% recommend and we will be booking another little weekend away there very soon ❤

Wow..wow this place is absolutely amazing. Stayed the night had cocktails that were gorgeous. All the staff were great, they advised us what cocktails to go for based on our taste. The rooms are clean and modern and adequately equipped and comfortable. The breakfast choice and quality are unreal..we had alternatives to the usual full English and omg perfect. Next time at shrewsbury we will defo stay again thanks guys

Downstairs nice and busy with a good atmosphere. However that did mean the accomodation upstairs was very noisy. We had room 106 which was very noisy until around midnight. The room itself was ok, nothing to write home about. So, would I visit the bar downstairs again... yes I would. Would I choose the loopy shrew for an overnight stay...no I wouldn't.

Average food, kale pesto sounded good but didn't taste of much except tomato. However, the service was very good. Attentive, unobtrusive, and professional. Lovely atmosphere too.

Great place to enjoy a snack, meal and overnight stay. Enjoyed a snack at lunchtime and a Loopy (Full English) Breakfast the following day.The accommodation was well presented for an older building. All necessary requirements available tea making, water, toiletries, hair dryer etc. It can be a little noisy with the bar below (earplugs are provided) and general passing conversations from the street below possibly a disadvantage of its central location and been close to other pubs and clubs. Staff welcoming. Definitely worth a stop again.

Excellent accommodation for a short business trip. The room was nicely decorated and sparkling clean. Staff is very friendly, while food and drinks on the ground floor restaurant is way above average. Very central location, within walking distance from the train station. Bear in mind that the building is not step free.

First time visit to Shrewsbury (16.9.2021), it definitely won’t be my last.Travelling from Liverpool, my journey didn’t take that long before I arrived at the destination. As a photographer, I was really happy when I saw the great looking buildings and architecture, perfect start. As the day went on, I started to feel the need for some food.I came across a place called the “Loopy Shrew.” What an amazing looking place from the outside with plenty of seating, great for the nice warm days we’ve enjoyed recently.Upon entering the restaurant, I was really pleased how the beauty of the exterior was present on the interior too. Tasteful decor in very relaxed surroundings.I took a seat by the window, mainly because they had plug sockets where I could charge my phone. The staff were all friendly, polite and professional, giving me plenty of time to choose from the menu.I ordered some food and then sat back to enjoy the ambience, there was no music playing (quite happy with that as it meant I could just “people watch” out of the window). There was not a long delay for food and to be honest, it didn’t last very long once it arrived.I’d ordered Beer battered fish fingers with crushed peas, tartare sauce, lettuce and tomato in a soft bun, along with it came a small ramekin of coleslaw and some plain crisps. The food was delicious, nice temperature without burning your mouth, it was cooked really well. Well worth the money spent, staff and management made me feel appreciated for my custom, so it felt right to do this positive review. So if ever you’re looking for a really nice place to eat with a great selection of food, look no further than a visit to the Loopy Shrew. Enjoy 👍🏻
