Oh boy! What a gorgeous meal! We visited this afternoon and was pleasantly surprised by the most delicious pub grub you could ever wish for. We visited as a change to our usual choices in Shrewsbury. The atmosphere was so pleasant, staff were lovely, and very accommodating. Prices were very reasonable. The fish 👌 best pub grub we've had in a long time! Thank you guys we will ve back to visit again soon.

In strong defence of a bad review.I was the organiser of a party of 19 (not 25) booked with Mike for Boxing Day.I initially approached Mike at The Bricklayers only 2 weeks before, whilst enjoying a meal there with friends. I made a booking for 10 to 15 people and promised to confirm numbers as soon as possible. On informing Mike and his staff that it was going to be a booking for 19 (and maybe a few extra once they’d seen the food) it was arranged.From the first meeting, Mike and his staff were kind, helpful, professional and very confident in their approach to my requests.We all enjoyed a great get-together and I’ve since asked the majority how they enjoyed their food. They, and I, all said it was excellent. Ham egg & Chips was obviously no challenge after hearing about all the other delicious meals that were enjoyed!To write a bad review after not informing the staff of any issue, giving them no opportunity to rectify or respond is cowardly and unjustified, and in my opinion should be discarded.Thank you all for a lovely day.

Fantastic. This is under new management and it showed. Excellent service, great beer, lovely staff. Live music this Thursday night, so a great night topped off. The food looked excellent and certainly tempted me to try it as soon as possible
