Smooth jazz from the Ludlow Jazz Collective. Generous starter of crab and asparagus with the dark crab whipped into a sauce. Nice. Roast beef was delicious. Quite fatty but that's what makes it so succulent, and there was plenty of meat. No room for pud but the bavarois and the affogato both looked lovely. Staff were nice too. Will go again to visit the amazing castle, walk the beautiful countryside and finish with dinner and more jazz. Great value for money.

Very good location. Good service. Food was fine but on our special day we had hoped to have a table with a good view of the countryside - sadly not available.

We went to The Cliffe for lunch to celebrate my Mums birthday - the setting was calm and rural, the meal was beautiful and very flavoursome!! Staff were attentive and pleasant - would recommend a visit - we will definately be back Lovely afternoon had by all

Excellent evening meal but our room was cramped and up lots of stairs. Average breakfast with overcooked bacon.

Hotel situated in a beautiful location. Food portions rather small but very tasty. Rooms are nice but could of done with a few more bathroom condiments as only catred for one person not a couple. Most staff very friendly and attentive but my partner was very disappointed when he could not get another drink at the bar even though another large group were being served. We were planning on coming back but because of the drink issue will try somewhere else as we often like to visit Ludlow.

We had an absolutely superb stay. Fabulous food, I don't just mean good, I loved it. I had the sea bream with olives and capers.The room was wonderful.Just loved this place.

We had a great evening meal there. The service was quick, friendly, and attentive, the food delicious, and elegantly served, and the menu had a good selection, to suit many a taste. It's an enjoyable 15-min walk from the city centre, along the charming old lanes with half-timber cottages and across the river. Highly recommended!

Comfortable hotel, plenty of parking spaces, good tradition breakfast, using all local produce. Easy to walk to the town, friendly staff, great place to stay. Also out side drink area, nice surrounding, well kept. Definitely worth a visit.
