Great Sunday lunch here. The ingredients are locally sourced and the cooking excellent. Good wine list too. Service informal and friendly. Out of the way but definitely worth searching out.

Back here again and the standard has remained high from my last visit. Light comfortable room, lovely rural setting and a warm welcome. Staff attentive and approachable. Menu is small but varied and whilst the chef on this occasion not on top form, he has set himself a high standard to keep. As before, I would recommend a stay at the Coach House Norbury, there isn't anywhere around that matches the combination of quality, friendliness and style.

Fabulous find in a pretty village in the heart of the Shropshire countryside. Very friendly, helpful & efficient staff. Rooms were nicely decorated (with Welsh tapestry blankets & cushions) & well stocked with top quality toiletries & sundries & fresh milk & homemade cookies for your room on arrival. Fabulous meal in cosy restaurant next to one of 2 log burners & chef catered superbly for 1 of our party who had specific dietary requirements (with prior notice). Meals were beautifully balanced & presented with many complimentary little extras (canapes & palette cleansers served before & during the meal & petit fours after (for the 'birthday boy in our party). Good choice of wines which were reasonably priced & breakfasts were superb (especially loved the poached pears with fresh yoghurt). Chef makes everything homemade - bread, butter, granola, preserves, petit fours. Can't wait to return & would definitely recommend this place to anyone celebrating anything or wanting a special meal or just passing through Shropshire.

A wonderful "away from it all" unostentatious luxury holiday. Superlative food, fresh and locally sourced mainly. Welcomed like family - nothing too much trouble. Eco friendly comfort.

I had a lovely stay here. The rooms are cozy and romantic. It is a remote location, so you have lots of privacy. The food is also delicious, and the vegan options they offer are delicious. My only negative feedback is that they only have one iron for the whole hotel, and the sourdough bread is as hard as a brick.

Excellent evening meal (would recommend the wine flight) and team very attentive. Only downside was the fire alarm which went off twice during the meal and again at 4am. Despite that a 5 star experience. Very laid back place 6 other guests had brought their own wine and nibbles to consume before the meal.

I was planning a trip and searching for a good place to stay in Bishops Castle. I was expecting a good place but what I got is nothing short than amazing. The people, rooms, service, food, and atmosphere is beyond phenomenal. The thing I noticed about most rural B&Bs are that they end up being a place that you just come to sleep and grab a bite to eat. They are not usually places you look forward to stay in and not leave. When I planned the trip in the back of my mind I thought that its one night I will stay and leave. No need to worry myself if it gets bad 90% of these places are better in pictures than in real life. This place I have to say that the pictures do not do it justice. The staff here are so nice and courteous and helpful they have gone above and beyond to make sure that everything was not perfect but much more.Ben, I have to say does it all. Was checking in guest, tending to their request, organizing other items in the B&B, and the Restraunt’s (both Bar & Restraunt).Harry the Chef is also an extraordinary Chef the dishes that come out of the kitchen are nothing short of delicious. I tried the venison and it was great and you shouldn't miss the snickers desert if you have a sweet tooth.I am sure that there is a team that makes this place the little jewel that it is. I have not met them all but they should all be thanked for an excellent job.I at the first night of staying here do not want to leave. Unfortunately, I have other commitments and am not able to stay longer. Hopefully I will come back here and only here. Ki

We really enjoyed our stay here, for 5 nights in July. The Coach house is surrounded by beautiful countryside, and it was just so peaceful. The rooms were exceptionally clean, with a lot of attention to detail. The bed in room 1 was very large, which was about 7ft in width, and was extremely comfortable. The room had direct access to the garden, which was ideal for us with our border collie dog.All the staff were really friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were very good and there was a lot of choice.

The Coach House is with out doubt my favourite place in Shropshire. Such a beautiful setting with incredible food. I highly recommend dining in the evening and the breakfasts are not to be missed as well. Our room was very relaxing and immaculate (The Loft Suit) the bathroom was particularly loverly. We were looked after very well and didn't want to leave!
