The Crown Country Inn Restaurant in Shropshire

This is one of the friendlies Inn / Pub where we have been in years. We bookt only for one night, but we good easily stayed for much longer. When we (me Bertie and my wife Helene) walked in the Inn on Saturday afternoon, we felt immediately at home. A nice atmosphere, lovely open fire and warm sfeervolle X-mas decorations. The room was warm, clean and cozy. Jane & Richard the owners are lovely host. The food was very good. The dinner, breakfast and the Sunday Lunch was to a high standard prepared and served by Richard and the friendly staff. Not anything was a problem, and all was relaxed and take your time. Lunch here on a cold November day perhaps the place could have been warmer but never the less the food was very good a good choice and well presented one other slight criticism service a bit on the slow side but overall very pleasant.

Such a wonderful country Inn, fabulous homemade food & puddings and lovely friendly hosts Jane & Richard, so welcoming.. definitely recommend going, we will be back again soon..

Food was fair, the place over all had a nice feel, but the wait was unacceptable. 1h 20 minutes for the main. After dinner a further 30 minutes for the bill after we asked for it. No apology or explanation. I hope this was an off day?

What a beautiful place and amazing service! I'm here on business but might have to arrange a private trip another time, really appreciate the breakfast tray for my early start tomorrow

We cannot recommend The Crown Country Inn enough! We stayed for 2 nights and the room had a lovely authentic feel, wooden beams, lovely view. Was very clean and well kept. Breakfast in the morning was very well received and helped keep our energy levels up for our days of walking around the local countryside! Chef was very accommodating to our dietary needs too! Pub is great for evening meals or a few drinks (or both!) , takeaway also available. They take the current restrictions very seriously which was reassuring for us as well. Lovely atmosphere, proper country pub with lovely owners, very pleasant staff and excellent food and drink! Sticky toffee pudding was the best I've had!

We had a delicious Afternoon Tea here at The Crown. The food was excellent and we took away a doggy bag as we couldn't eat it all! The ambience was lovely with a crackling log fire and cosy sofas to relax in after our tea. The service was first class. We will definitely be going back.

First visit here today, although we didn't eat we had coffee, drinks take out cakes and wine. Beautiful place inside so oldy worldy full of character and I didn't realise it had such a huge back garden . Plenty of parking opposite. Staff were lovely. Definitely be going back again, well worth a visit here. Thank you

It's a great place to stay. Richard and Jane are fabulous hosts. They have worked very hard to ensure that everyone feels safe during these difficult times. Lovely food and lots to do in the area.
