The Danery in Shropshire

Really nice fish platter. The fish, scampi & prawns were lovely & gorgeous homemade tartare sauce. Cute little pub. Only lost a star as chips were a bit undercooked. Definitely go back though. Staff very helpful

Had a lovely steak and Guinness pie with delicious gravy, recommended. Nice staff and cosy atmosphere.

Stopped for a quick sandwich on our journey made very welcome by landlord but very dissatisfied after, we ordered sandwiches which arrived with salad but no cutlery or serviettes the bread was very thick only one round each. had two soft drinks but what I wasn't pleased about was the cost of £17.50 could have had a meal cheaper in other places. Thought it very expensive for what we had.

Great gluten free options to choose from. The staff are lovely and polite. I would definitely recommend. Food absolutely fantastic.

Walked for 1.6 miles from campsite after doing research on internet to find the Dannery was dog friendly. As a family of four with one small dog arrived on a wet and windy day to be told on Sunday they don’t aloud dogs. We were so disappointed and with two children to be turned away was unacceptable. Please update the internet to tell future customers the rules to stop another family being disappointed no drinks and no Sunday lunch so poor.

I met up with my daughters yesterday and we dropped in here for a late lunch. The staff were really welcoming, the food came quickly, was all home made and tasty, and we lingered over a coffee with no issue. A great place for us midway between Wiltshire and Liverpool.

The food and the staff were lovely at lunchtime today. Would recommend anyone visit 'The Danery' as it won't disappoint. Reasonably priced and the Service was very good. Will definately be back.

I enjoyed the meal and the staff here. Only knocked off a star as my burger bun was kinda burnt and dry, there was also no sauce like mayonnaise or anything on the burger itself besides a pattie, cheese and veg. I recommend asking customers if they'd like anything put on their burger as I was disappointed mine was so dry with sauce but other than that everything was good. The staff was very accommodating and kind the place was cosy. Will be back! Delicious onion rings too.

We stayed at the Danery for two nights. What a brilliant place. Fantastic friendly staff who dona great job of making you feel welcome. The food is superb to. If your in this area We would highly recommend that you pay them a visit. One of the best pubs we have been in in a long while!many thanks to Tina, Mark and the great team for a brilliant stay!

Lovely country pub. Just had a sandwich for lunch. Staff very nice. Only criticism is. They kept coming over asking if everything was alright. Kept telling them it was lovely thank you. But got very annoying after a while.
