The Falcon Inn Restaurant in Shropshire

Its not for me I am afraid.Stayed this weekend, when we arrived no lift so had to carry newborn up the stairs to be shown the smallest room. Good job she can sleep in pram as no space for a travel cot. Bathroom, really not clean at all, floor doesn't look like it has seen a mop, mold or mildew on the shower curtains, shower and bath looked likes needed a good clean, and a glass that has old tooth paste in bottom!Also has a clock tower that goes off, so not ideal for the sleeping baby.Also, had to strip the bedding after baby had accident and duvet was gross, full of stains. Mentioned this to staff and they did send someone to change bedding stright away very helpful and friendly staff from what we met. Although not enough of them especially for breakfast not around to be able to resolve a Stone cold breakfast... I don't know why is called a full English.. it isn't and cold. Not just left on the pass a few mins to long, like beans not cooked cold. Tried a simple order of 2 poached egg on 2 peice of toast, got 1 fried over cooked egg, 1 poached and under cooked egg 1 toast cut in half all very very cold. Had some mushrooms added suppose that was nice? Dining room wasn't particularly clean as well with last night chips on the floor. The staff seemed friendly enough although not many of them so difficult to raise this to them as I'm sure would have helped if they had time to come over for 1 second. This seems to be a theme as reception seemed to never be mannedDid not eat at the restaurant as menuein the bedroom seem to only show starters or light bites suitable for veggis, smelt delightful so imagine that it nice, the bar looked to have a great atmosphere but be warned is very loud in bedrooms.Absolutely not worth the 225 for 2 nights.

Went to the Indian attached and choose from the streets food menu as an Indian tapas approach. We all loved the food it was all well presented and tasted delicious.

Such friendly and welcoming staff, absolute pleasure to stay there. Room was nice if a tad small, lovey shower.And it's pub too!!Would definitely stay again

Stayed at the Falcon Hotel a few times this year. Staff are so polite and friendly. Rooms are very clean. Would stay there again.Breakfast is good 👍Evening meals which are provided by Thialo Catering have a great choice of Indian Cuisine.Overall enjoyed my stay. A big thank to Martin, very helpful.

Went to falcon for friday lunch paid £2 to park (refundable if you spend over £10). Once in walked around for ten mins no one in there. Manager happily ignored me whilst he continued his phone call. No attempt at one minute I'll be with you. When he finally did speak it was to say we don't do food till 5pm. When asked why I was told as a family business the kitchen staff don't want to work lunch time. Well if you want your cooks to tell you how to run the bat best of luck. Could I have my £2 parking back if you aren't going to do food. No sorry sir you need to spend £10. How do I spend that if you won't cook anything. Won't be bothering to try here again 100% disappointment. Off to the Brandon arms I think where they do cook

You ask me why I give you one star but I didn’t stay so I can’t give you a good review.However, I did call your fine establishment to book a table and was told to hang up, go onto your website and book a table that way!! Now call me old fashioned but if I’ve taken the time to call you it means I’m inclined to not go onto a website🤷‍♂️ Now I could be having a bad day, let’s say I am👍 So I promptly picked up my phone called another number and in 30seconds booked a table somewhere else👍 Sorted and happy.Please 🙏. If someone takes the time to call you wishing to book a table - deal with it.I’m sure I will be coming back again- the food was truly amazing. That’s why I called you to book again.🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Very comfortable. Room quite small but clean. Great bar, good food worth a visit. Dropped 1 star because music from bar/ downstairs area very loud in room. Had to have TV on nearly full volume.

Just completed a stay at the Falcon, very impressed. The place has had a total make over and everything from the chairs to decorations ooze quality and thought. The staff are so welcoming its like being at home! The room we had is stylish with high quality fitments. Breakfast was delicious and all service was with a smile. The on duty manager, Martin, was a great host and a real plus to the place!
