My main meal was poor, not seasoned at all and the pork I had was bland with burnt crust. Maybe I was unlucky as my sons enjoyed there’s (although was pizza and a fish cake with chips) but overall I would not recommend. I feel the food is poorly cooked viewing other food that was coming out the kitchen. Shame as the service was good and a nice setting. Just poor food.

We ate lunch here on Valentines day. I had the fish and chips along with 3 others in our group. Was a really nice meal but unfortunately it made all four of us ill. It was'nt a cheap meal so doubt we will return.

I have been here before and it's been ok but this visit.... The starter wasn't what was ordered. The waitress rolled her eyes and walked off initially, then returned with items that were supposed to be on the order but just said 'there you go, you've got more now'....Kind of wasn't the point. They were busy, but that's no excuse. We also waited an hour and a quarter for this starter. By the time the mains and dessert came we were too concerned that we wouldn't have time to have them so spoilt it all a bit. We also struggled to get a second drink (as we had long finished our first)... And again, waited for these. We will give the benefit of the doubt this time and will visit again and hopefully have a better experience.

Used to love coming to this place but it seems different to the last time I visited.Tonight everything was very rushed and then the pizza oven stopped working properly. After already being told some options on the menu weren’t available.Don’t get me wrong, the venue is great, but do check if everything is available before you go. We drove quite a distance to be offered a free drink for not being able to order what we were looking forward to eating.

I have been to the Grapes a few times for Lunch, and always enjoyed the food and friendly service, I visited again today with friends, 2 had the Duck and were very disappointed, they both requested it to be pink when it came it was well done and very tough!!!! 1 had pork fillet which was good, I salmon which was ok but green beans were hard!! given 3 stars for the service which was very good.

Very nice establishment with a good atmosphere and friendly staff. The meal was wonderful, we asked for custard with our sticky toffe pudding and was pleasantly surprised they had it, as it wasn't on the menu, highly recommend. Will definitely be returning.

Walk in and made welcome. Seated quickly. Great menu. Table service was excellent. Food was amazing. We had moroccan chicken and lamb! Highly recommend. Sicilan lemon tart for dessert which we shared! Will be back.

Finally got around to trying Ego and glad I did. Not the cheapest place to eat but the offers they do in an evening make prices more reasonable (tuesday is steak night and it was pretty much half price). Really lovely food. Good service and went back a couple of days later I liked it so much! Second visit was a lunchtime and again the lunchtime menu was a good price. There are lots of things on the menu I plan on trying so will be going back!
