A delightful traditional pub. The staff are really welcoming and friendly. The food is delicious and the servings are generous. There is always a selection of good real ales. Make sure you remember to book for food, especially at the weekend. There is usually a real fire when it cold outside and it is dog friendly.

Came with friends yesterday, one guest had fish. To say it was poor is an under statement. Fish was paper thin. I was embarrassed being as we recommend your place. Could have got better fish from Ice land !The staff were not very friendly either did not make us fell welcome.

Fabulous Country Inn on the border between Wales and England. Great food, with a lovely varied menu and popular carvery, good selection of beers and wines. Excellent staff making any stay a pleasure, lovely comfortable rooms can't wait to return, dog and family friendly.

Stopped off for a quick pint, the log burner fire burning warm and a warm greeting from the bar person. Cask ale on pull made my day and a good pint of an IPA was amazing. The pub was quite and welcoming with the smell of beautiful food in a backroom very good.

Highly recommend this locally renowned, historic pub. Warm, welcoming staff, lovely atmosphere and excellent home-cooked food. The generous homemade lasagne was truly authentic and delicious, served with focaccia and freshly made salad.
