The Horse and Jockey in Shropshire

Great pub, good atmosphere, excellent staff. Good Friday it was busy, but still found room for the 2 of us. Served us very promptly, excellent choice on the menu, tapas which you can have as a starter, and a variety of main courses. It was well presented when served and very hot.Large desserts, certainly full to the brim when we left. Highly recommend.

This is a lovely pub with friendly staff and great atmosphere. The food was nice and portion sizes were generous. We've tried a few pubs in Whitchurch and this is the best so far. Thank you 😊

Just a quick stop for a well needed pint. Nearly at the end of a 3 day hike of the sandstone trail. Very nice an welcoming staff. Nice interior of the building. Lovely beer.

What a lovely pub this is the second time we have been to the Horse and Jockey they were very friendly and helpful the food was very good

Excellent food. Interesting selection of main courses to tempt you, with plenty on the plate. Had the haddock with gnocchi - can certainly recommend this.

Very friendly pub, lovely atmosphere and staff. The best fish and chips i have ever had!

Fabulous lunch today with family. Warm welcome as we entered and shown to a table. The pub was beautifully decorated for Christmas and was busy for Wednesday lunch. The food was of a very high standard and reasonably priced so I would have no hesitation in recommending here.As an additional plus the petrol station across the road has the cheapest prices for miles.

Visited last Sunday for lunch. Glad we booked as it was very busy. We chose the roast dinner , portions were small in relation to the price but tasted nice. Would return again but try something different.Dog friendly which was a plus for us.Staff, it seemed like only one girl proactively waiting on tables. We had to prompt after 20 minutes just to order a drink.Good atmosphere.

We had a great meal here Sunday and the staff are very welcoming. Very good choice of all foods for all tastes on the menu. Great service and a lovely atmosphere with the dogs having free rain but not begging. I would highly recommend this establishment for Sunday Lunch or any meal in the week. The choice of beverages too is vast and there is something for everyone. Thank you for a lovely meal and experience, we will be back next time we are over your way.

Very rustic and vintage aesthetic, but with an updated and varied menuVery friendly and accommodating staff (including the resident dog!)The wait wasn't long, even for a large group at a moderately busy lunchtime!They serve the best ice cream from Cheshire ice cream farm!And there is something for everyone on the drinks menu!
