We have visited twice this week whilst on holiday in the area. This is a wonderful pub, with amazing home cooked food. The staff are lovely and it was excellent value for money. Would highly recommend.

Lovely traditional pub, interesting ornate carved fireplace, some nice stained glass frescos. Very pleasant staff, good service. Good pub food, nice, perfectly acceptable without being exceptional. Very reasonable prices

Reasonable country pub. A nice interior. Food average pub stuff. Tasted like bought-in, frozen calamari rings and scampi. Pretty good chunky chips. Salmon fillet very overcooked to the point of being hard. Steak and Stilton pie by far the best thing we had: clearly home cooked, tender meat, no gristle and the right amount of Stilton.

We booked on 14th Feb 2022Thought we would try it and what a lovely surprise we had . Good ales and absolutely lovely food.Staff were very polite and helpful at all times and made us feel very welcome .Surroundings are so cozy and clean , old beams inside and real fire. A proper country pub.Big car park too.We will certainly be going again .Ian & Dawn.

We had a very pleasant early evening meal here for 5. Landlord was very helpful and polite, as were all the staff. Food was lovely and was fairly quick at the time we were there. Table was booked in advance as it was quite busy. Beautiful garden for sitting out in when weather suitable. Photo is of specials board.

Had a fabulous, much needed evening meal towards the end of a bike ride. The welcome, food, drinks and service were all excellent. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

We live within half a mile of this pub and we’ve used it for the last 30 years as our regular. The current landlady Di with the help of her family took over the pub a few years ago and have worked tirelessly to create a unique dining experience, especially in the garden. The views across the south Shropshire countryside are outstanding. The tables have been carefully placed to ensure everyone can enjoy an evening out safely - very important during this COVID-19 crisis - both inside the pub and outside in the gardens. During the lockdowns Di and her family have reorganised and revamped the gardens and inside the pub. The new protocols in place for the safety of all her guests and staff are carefully adhered to. It’s sensible to book a table if you’re planning to eat there because it can get very busy, especially if there’s a group of you. The food is traditional to contemporary and good value for money. Di puts on local beers provided by Hobsons Brewery in Cleobury Mortimer and other local providers. The service is exceptional, very friendly. The toilets have recently been modernised and are very clean.
