Went to the Maltings café for a spot of late lunch whilst staying in the area in August and thoroughly enjoyed it. Great menu and good value. Also very dog friendly with water bowls and treats for your four legged companions. We liked it so much, we went back for breakfast on our last day, even though it was in the wrong direction! Will definitely return when in the area again.

Very cosy little place but food was very good and you get a good amount for the price, with orange juice and a hot drink included in the price. Highly recommend if you are in the area. Owned by a lovely couple and service was fast.

Just lovely. What more can I say. The picture says it all. Full breakfast, toast and preserve and fresh orange juice. Topped off by a pot of tea with a comedy tea cosy. Pamela 😆😆

Visited a few times over the past 3-4 years, and once again, todays lunch was lovely. My favourite , the Mac and Cheese, was fantastic! The wife's toasted tuna sweetcorn and mature cheese, together with its well presented salad, also went down extremely well. Always worth a visit when in Clun.

Good food and pleasant efficient service. Excellent value with a varied menu. Our meal was well presented and tasty. The cafe is quite small but well laid out and it didn't feel cramped. There's a couple of tables outside too. It's great to see good independent cafes/restaurants that appear to be well supported. Recommended.

What a little gem.... The Maltings Cafe was built as a malt house around 1640 and oozes old charm which adds to the whole experience, the food preparation area at one side of the kitchen used to be the original kiln. The menu offers just the right balance of options, soup, sandwiches, cakes, deserts, wholesome mains all very tasty. Look out for the knitted tea cozies they are just fantastic. Although small you don't feel crowed or awkward. We found parking at Clun Castle was easiest and is only a five minute walk away.
