We have just had Gluten free fish & chips & they were absolutely delicious beautiful white fish inside a lovely crispy batter. Well recommended.

Horrible food. Ordered two fish and chips and chicken pie and chips. The plaice wasn't busy but chips were undercooked and greasy. Fish was tiny in comparison to other fish and chip shops but seemed more expensive. All food was cold and tasted horrific. Not impressed at all. Worse Β£20 spent.

Wonderful beach views, must go again, I do recommend going here if you have family. Very nice day out if you are interested. Lots of attractions nearby and toilets are free and not very busy

Excellent fish and chips, cod and haddock cooked to order, really tasty. Very reasonable prices too, cup of tea also, just what we were looking for. Can certainly recommend.

After many years of getting take-aways from The Plaice, tonight will be the last time. Food has been missing from a few deliveries as of late, plus you ask for large and they bring you small. We kept are mouths shut and ignored it. and again the same tonight.Called up and told them, Driver shows up and tells us we are lying and he saw them wrap the food up. Have him on Ring Video running his mouth off at the door.Avoid.

Definitely won't be returning wouldnt even give it a 1. Not only 2 hours late with no explanation and a very rude and blunt delivery driver but when we rang to see where our order was they didn't even answer the phone. When we did managed to speak to someone they were rude and just said its out for delivery which they had been for 2 hours. Wasnt worth the 2 hour wait sausages were stone cold and undercooked. chips were clearly cooked with the fish as the tasted more like fish more than chips fish we didn't even order. Will no be returning and will be advising people to avoid as they wont get their food on time nor cooked properly

Nice food, fairly quick.Couldn't ring to preorder before I arrived so had to wait when I got there, and hadn't realised it was cash only. Enjoyed the food, and really friendly service though.

The manager is so rude and speaks to people like they are dog crap on your shoe. Myself, my two year old son and my partner have now got food poisoning from their food. When they were confronted about this, they blamed me and told me it was something I cooked. They took no responsibility and therefore ending up with me ringing environmental health. Very disgraceful!! Won't ever be returning!!

Lost in Shropshire and needed food, happened upon Plaice. Traditional fish and chips, rather greener than green proper mushy peas and a bit of a twist with kebab butties. Oh also does a large selection of take away curries, but we didn't get to those.Very friendly staff let us sit in and supplied plates, cutlery and all the condiments. Didn't try the Greedy Pig box, but looked a tempting mix of assorted fried stuff for the extra hungry.Take a look at their website for a comprehensive menu. I'll be back if I'm ever in Oswestry again.
