Really good food, and excellent service. Bit out of the way but well worth the trip. One of the best steak and ale "pies" I've ever had, the slow cooked beef was so tender it fell apart with a fork and the ale gravy was one of the best I've had. Will definitely visit again if I'm ever in the area again

Just back from a fantastic Sunday Lunch at The Plough Inn. Impeccable service - thank you so much. Delicious food and great value for money. Will certainly return when in the area next.

Excellent food and service. The steak and the blue cheese sauce were the best I have eaten in a long time. Returned for a Sunday lunch and once again meat cooked to perfection, fresh vegetables, and other trimmings. The sticky toffee pudding was so light and the butterscotch sauce complimented it beautifully. Good service, friendly staff and value for money. Thank you!

The Plough looked after about 50 of us extremely well on 15th January. The food was lovely and they have a great range of Woods beers. Staff were friendly and courteous. Well Done the Plough

Great atmosphere, great staff (we were not known to them but they soon got the measure of us!) Very interactive. Spacious area (covid-secure) Food & Service was fantastic and added bonus of independent brewery ales (for the ale drinkers!).

Not a planned visit but we will be returning.Really friendly staff, we had our dog with us and they gave him a big bowl of water which was really appreciated. The wait for food was short and it tasted amazing.A lovely space to eat, warm and bright and for us it was great as it was quite quiet. No TV or music was a huge plus too as we could actually have a conversation.

Great beer, plenty of parking good disabled access and parking. Tables outside with brollies and also a covered area. We didn't eat as it was a flying visit however, the food and looked and smelled excellent. We will be back!

Went out for lunch at The Plough Inn for my grandma's birthday. We were the only table being served in there for lunch, and it was during the week. The atmosphere was ok - but would have been different if more people were there for lunch.I ordered the Lemon Crispy Chicken with Chips and Salad. The food overall was great (if not too large a portion) and it is somewhere we will come to again. I also had a dessert - the Wistanstow Mess - Meringue with Forest Fruits and Cream - was not too keen on the cream.
