The River View Cafe in Shropshire

Sat outside overlooking the river and the Shropshire hills. Breakfast was spot on. staff lovely and friendly and coffee was top quality.

My first view and I really enjoyed it. The staff were polite, friendly and helpful. We were greeted and asked if we would like to sit inside or outside to have our meal. I had a sandwich and my daughter had a pallini. They were freshly made, with us very quickly and delicious. Definitely will be returning!

Absolutely beautiful little cafe in the town centre, over looking the River Severn.Very tasty homemade food, especially the cakes.A hidden gem!

Today, Sunday together with close family my wife and i had an extremely enjoyable lunch at the cafe. The weather was nice and it was very pleasant to sit outside an eat. The food was excellent and the staff and service first class. We use the cafe regularly and we would not hesitate to recommend others to enjoy its excellent fare and service. !0 out of 10 again Jules.

Delicious food with a lovely view and great service at a reasonable price. I had a smoked cheese, ham and picked cucumber panini that was so tasty and the cake selection is great. Cater for allergies and all dietary requirements

Met family here for a surprise 80th. Despite very little notice the staff were brilliant. Managed to seat 12 people together, all the food arrived at the same time and was excellent. Even brought out a complimentary birthday cake for the birthday girl. Highly recommend this place.

Lovely place to sit and look down on the river and right across abbey forgate. Food is always excellent.

Excellent lunch, dog friendly and stunning view on a clear day. We've always thought the staff were very friendly. Serves alcohol if you fancy it. Never had a bad meal.

Came here for the first time and didn't know what to expect but I loved it. We ordered jacket potato, ploughman's board and Mac and cheese. All parties really enjoyed their food and it was good value for money. All staff were very friendly, attentive and always willing to help. They also all wore masks and tables were suitably distanced. There were stunning views of the city and were plenty of tables outside and inside of the cafe.Would thoroughly recommend it and if I lived closer, would come here very often!

Great place for a quick bite or a lazy coffee..... We ate on the terrace although the view of the River Severn is somewhat masked by the over grown brambles in the hedgerow...... Food and staff fab.... Relaxed couple of hours to be had..... Try the river side ploughman's it's great.... Make sure you grab a few jars of their local home made chutney / relish.....
