The Royal Oak Inn in Shropshire

After a long wait for the brilliant carvery to re open the wair was well worth it ,we went on Sunday with friends and had an absolute cracker ,the food the beer the staff were just great and we all said we would return again and again .

No photos but a nice review. 1st visit and hope to return soon. Good place to stop after a walk. Dog friendly and spacious. Had a ham cob and chips with a pint of Guinness. All good and the staff, locals were lovely. Ham was top of the league 👍

Friendly staff, excellent food, will certainly go back. Small menu but this is fine as everything is cooked to order, hot, with generous portions and well presented.

Due to two other restaurants being closed lunchtime we decided on The Royal Oak. Had been there years ago and been very disappointed. WOW ordered two rib-eyes etc and absolutely fabulous. Could not fault anything other than the wine which was very disappointing. Fantastic service and really pleased I forced my husband to eat there. Will definitely be back even though it is not on our doorstep. Sorry Dominique you were closed. Great find.👍👍👏👏

8 of us went there for lunch today. Service was excellent. I had pork cob (2 beautiful rolls instead of a cob), with salad and a huge portion.of chips, all for £4.50. Severall of us had the same with others having chicken burgers, scampi. One thing they all had in common was excellent value for money and really well cooked food. Our first visit, but definitely not our last. Thanks to all the staff for a memorable lunch.

We stopped by on an unplanned visit and the staff were welcoming and friendly, facilities and pub were clean and very well laid out. The ham cob(s) was amazing and the chips were cooked to perfection. Plenty of parking too and staff remained friendly and attentive despite the local power cut during our visit. Lovely place.
