The Stable Bar in Shropshire

Reading other reviews, I think we must have been unlucky. My food was average, at best. The sauce on the crayfish cocktail was sharp and had lots of slices of raw onion, which overwhelmed the fish. My steak and chips were both cold. I opted for the crumble and custard. I had to leave two thirds because there was so little custard and it was dry. On a huge positive our server (Connie, I think) who had only worked there for four days, was a complete joy!

Of the many pubs in Bridgnorth I always find the Stable Bar to be welcoming and with a great atmosphere.There's a choice of places to sit/stand, with an outdoor bar, a separate garden and a few seats indoors.The restaurant upstairs is small, but the food is excellent.

Fantastic Sunday lunch. I had the roast beef, my dining partner, the sea bass with risotto. Risotto can be hit and miss when eating out; if it's not freshly made it can be grim but this was clearly fresh and very good too. First class service, nice surroundings.

What a little hidden gem! Staff was lovely and the food was to die for. Would definitely eat here again!

A real hidden gem, really nice atmosphere and friendly staff. We had a three course meal which was the nicest we've had in a very long time.The chef really knows what they are doing, we can't wait to go back there again.

My sister booked out this fabulous venue for her wedding reception. Gorgeous place excellent two studio apartments. All Staff were great one guy serving canapés was excellent (didn’t grab his name ) bartenders were great & made cocktails with flourish . Great space to party basically which is what we all did 🤩

My wife and I enjoyed a fabulous meal at the Stable Bar. The atmosphere in the bar was great and the staff not only friendly but very professional. The food was delicious. I can not recommend this establishment enough. We had seared scallops with cured salmon to start and steak as our main course.

Wow, food was great and served nice and hot...service is efficient and polite and great selection on the menu...would seriously recommend...prices reflect the quality of food and service received. The atmosphere is welcoming and relaxing...a good place to chillax, have good conversation and enjoy good music...very satisfied with our visit..x Please look out for a lovely, beautiful and polite waitress called Caitlin...superb service from this lass...hubby even tipped so must be good..x
