Lovely village pub and restaurant. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the food was out of this world and very very reasonably priced. They were so good we had no booking on good Friday and they managed to fit us in as we had to very hungry young children and we are so grateful they did - we quickly booked for dinner the next day and again the food and hospitality was amazing. Any time we come back we will definitely make sure to visit again! Thank you for such an amazing experience!

Lovely little pub, went there for my birthday. Child friendly, lovely polite, helpful staff and food was lovely. Just wish I had room for pudding. We will be back.

This pub has had quite a big refurbishment since I last visited, and it's certainly an improvement. I have called in twice in the past two weeks after some hill walks and both times have enjoyed the food, service and beer.It is very comforting to see that the menu is at a pub price point (ie. no gastro pub/restaurant pricing), just good value unfussy meals served in satisfying portions. The menu had plenty to choose from, including vegetarian and vegan options and it was good to see fresh vegetables (not frozen) being prepared in the kitchen. I particularly enjoyed the coleslaw, which looked home-made. At least 2 real ales were available amongst the expected draft offerings too. I will most definitely be back for more.
