Lovely impromptu lunch/ snack and drink outside, good service and food although the Katsu sauce was too sickly/ sweet

Stayed over for one night as attended a wedding nearby. Wonderful staff, lovely atmosphere. Really friendly. As for Bab's breakfast, we had the full English (use local produce). Can't recommend highly enough. Thank you all for your hospitality. Will definitely return.

Lovely village pub, not named after the 80s lightening product, but after that huge ball of flame you sometimes see in the sky during the day. I think it goes out at night, as it looks less flamey. Anyway, the pub is lovely, and does delicious food. Recommended.

Just had a meal here with a friend. Fish and chips, and a vegetarian fish and chips, absolutely delicious. Excellent throughout the service impeccable. Will definitely come again. Well done to the staff and chef.

It always helps when you visit on a nice day, but this is a pleasant pub with a nice garden. Typical pub fayre, very enjoyable. A couple of cracking brews available. Loads of room inside and out.

Delicious food!! Lovely place, really friendly staff. Highly recommend!

Lovely friendly village pub on the 7 mile Ellesmere circular walk. Excellent lunch stop off. Good selection of beers with a very good menu, including gluten free options. Plenty of space and nooks inside to eat or relax in. Great atmosphere with a wood fire, plus tables to sit outside in the garden next to the big car park.

We had a great lunch here. Did a big walk beforehand to get there so had worked up an appetite. The portions were very generous. We had starters and mains both of which were absolutely delicious. Best food we’ve had in Shropshire so far! The pub has lots of character with tables in lots of little rooms. It has a really nice garden seating area and the toilets were very good. Nice beer and very friendly service.

Lovely venue with a lovely beer garden! The menu had lots of choice on, as well as the pub serving real ale. It was a bit warm so I opted for a Cider which was spot on!The burger was lovely and the people who were sat outside (locals) were all chatty and friendly! Will definitely be going back
