Took my Dad and other members of our family here for his 80th Birthday. We had the 'taster menu' after some deliberation; the taster menu being a combination of the A la Carte courses served as mini dishes. The combination of ingredients, flavours combined to make each dish a taste experience. Some I preferred to others, but that's the idea of the tasting menu. Perhaps, going back it would have been nice to have one course, but without tasting them all first, it would have been difficult to pick out which one!Great value meal.

Beautifully presented… excellently prepared by talented chefs… taste supreme (who would put grapes, peas and sweet new broad beans together as an accompaniment - genius)… attentive and friendly table attendance… well done, well done, well done.

Good quality taster menu which you can have with a wine flight. Good service. Not cheap but well worth it for that special celebration, we thoroughly enjoyed it and will be going back

Eaten there lots and had takeaway during lockdown. Incredible food which merits the Michelin attention and mention. Creative, experimental fine dining which is delicious and a wonderful atmosphere too. Only wish it was easier to get a table 😀

Fabulous vegan tasting menu!I was really appreciative that the chef created a vegan tasting menu for my partner. Really hard to get in restaurants of this calibre, whilst still letting me enjoy the normal tasting menu. Only other restaurants where we’ve managed to do this are The Fat Duck, Le Manoir Aux Quat’Saisons & The Kitchin. The Fat Duck still holds the number one spot for us, but The Walrus comes in at an easy second place of the 4. The scallop & tartare were the favourite courses for me whilst my partner loved the crispy tofu & lasagne of mushroom courses best. This chefs, Ben & Carla are true geniuses with sauce creation & matching, The accompanying Wine Tour was perfect too, with the Austrian Riesling and Gruner Veltliner being our favourite.Make a trip to Shrewsbury especially for this restaurant, it really is worth it!

Spectacular meal. The restaurant had gone to the trouble of creating an entire 6 course menu specifically for us (we are both dairy intolerant). This wasn't just ensuring something on the menu was dairy free, they adapted each dish or designed a new one based on seasonal fresh produce. The wine flight was spectacular and the sommelier both knowledgeable and entertaining, painting word pictures of the region, vineyard and people.Very good value for what is very special food - this will be a favourite place to celebrate.

Just fantastic food. We had the tasting menu with wine flight and it was all delicious. Some really interesting wine pairings that you wouldn't think to make yourself, but all complemented the food very well. The 6 courses went well together, and the portion sizes were perfect. The white port Manhattan was a great way to start the meal as well.Overall a really great dining experience. Definitely one to try and get a table at if you can!

The food is very extravagant, extremely perfect and prepared with a lot of love. This may sound a bit strange, but I have never eaten anything so tasty. I chose the 6-course tasting menu to enjoy the whole variety of the cuisine.Just look at the pictures, it tastes even better. And the prices much too low.
