We stayed for two nights. Lovely renovated traditional room and very clean. Traditional pub food with loads of beers (they also have their own brewery). Staff and owner very friendly and all at very reasonable costs.

Simple straightforward pub. We had the ploughman's which was very filling and tasty. Roasts looked good too. Nice atmosphere and a good mix of locals and tourists mingling well together.

Came here with my husband and rescue dog as we were looking for somewhere to eat and drink which was dog friendly!! Lovely home cooked meals which were delicious and hot and so nice to sit out in the sunshine!! Would have been nice to sit up on the grass area but no dogs are allowed!!

Nice tasty Seabass new potatoes and salad. Several pints of their own beer Clun. Only downside is don't sit near the rear door it SLAMS VERY LOUD every few minutes it definitely needs a dampener.

If booked direct, the accommodation is incredibly good value. The room was clean, nicely decorated, well-stocked with tea, coffee and hot chocolate, and the bed was comfortable. An information folder contained comprehensive information about the facilities and the village. I was impressed by the attention to detail - the way the towels were folded for example and the provision of earplugs. The staff were friendly & helpful, locking my bike away in a shed for me, and at my request, providing breakfast earlier than the stated times. Notwithstanding all this, I was woken up at c.5am by the sound of people loading a van, (not connected with the pub) which went on intermittently for over an hour. Secondary double glazing may have stopped this being a problem - but then again, I could have used the earplugs provided!!
