An absolutely beautiful place to eat, such freindly staff, a roaring fire and a gorgeous Sunday roast....the food was wonderful as always. The surrounding are lovely, clean and a wonderful country pub dining experience....I cannot rate it enough... thankyou to all at the Windmill.

Called in today for Sunday lunch for my dads birthday.Absolutely lovely little pub.A nice warm welcome and staff were great nice and pleasant. In my opinion the food was ok but well over priced. Not enough veg with main meals. Had one small dish with one floret of cauliflower and one floret of broccoli between 4 people.OVERALL MY OPINION IS THAT THE WINDMILL IS NICE BUT CERTAINLY NOT VALUE FOR MONEY.

Very good service and food! Will be back when next in the area :)

Popped in here for lunch on our wedding anniversary. Quiet at first but very peaceful and welcoming, then a lot more people arrived and the atmosphere livened up. Nice fire blazing and a beautiful Christmas tree. The food was really good - I had the venison 'special' - really tender, a rich gravy and perfect steamed cabbage, red cabbage and buttery mash. 'He' had fish and chips. We will certainly return - the garden looked very inviting even in the late December drizzle!

Absolute cracking roast, gorgeous log fires and loveliest staff ever! Especially the owner, he’s a gentleman through and through. We will definitely visit again when we are back down from London. One not to miss!!

·

Delicious food (we are very good cooks and very fussy), quality meat and wide range of well-cooked veg, a huge yorkie and tasty gravy. The pudding - poached pears with ginger, cream and meringue - was homemade and very good! Will return.

Visited the windmill over the weekend for lunch. The food was absolutely fantastic so was the service! Brill that they allow dogs in all areas. Waitress was very helpful recommending us a walk to the back of the pub to stretch the doggys legs. Amazing, thank you all!

Again good portion size, really appreciate home cooking. First visit to the Windmill. Hopefully will return another time.

Finally after 5 years of driving past, but never at the right time, saying how beautiful the Windmill looks we have finally managed to visit. The pub is as beautiful inside as out. The staff were so friendly. The service was incredibly efficient and our meal was incredibly tasty. We look forward to visiting again.
