Three Tuns Inn in Shropshire

Actually we choose this pub for food based on trip advisor reviews. Food very very average. One of our party explained they were gluten free however they still served her bread which was NOT gluten free. My biggest bug bearer however was the whole pub/restaurant absolutely stank of dirty used fat, you know the cooking fat type. Man it was so overpowering. Within minutes of our arrival I opened a few windows. Within minutes of me opening the windows the staff re-shut the windows. I mentioned to the staff about the smell and all they could say is ‘yeh my wife tells me I stink of cooking fat when I come home’! The pub may be worth a visit for the beer alone but avoid eating there. Not great!My advice would be to walk over the road to The Castle Hotel. A much better run pub.

We visited at lunchtime during half term whilst on holiday in the nearby village of Clun. Having read great reviews online we were keen to visit The Three Tuns as we love our beer and it didn't disappoint!Fabulous beer choice and food was delicious. We hadn't booked but the friendly girl took us to a lovely quiet table which was ideal with small children. Fab choice for veggies and vegans on the the specials board and normal menu and great choice of beer - their own brew IPA was excellent. Would recommend this pub to anyone who enjoys a pint and proper pub food! Dog friendly too!

Had an absolutely fantastic meal, highly recommend the lamb, and my boys loved these puudings. Best place in Bishops Castle for a Tiger Cocktail ;)

It's a while since we've been to this wonderful old pub/brewery (pre-covid), and I have to say it was worryingly quiet for a Sunday afternoon (3pm). Not sure if table service is required now all restrictions have been lifted, and at times it seemed like there were more staff than customers. Hopefully when all the covid stuff has disappeared it will revert to being a great pub, with great beer, that also does good food. It's lacking a little atmosphere just now.

Oldest licensed brewery with a pub of the same name. Excellent beer and food. Staff were happy to be there. Beautiful function room and stage. Nice walk around town.

We were visiting the area in the summer in August. Lovely beer and the staff were so nice in there. We popped in so the husband could try the local beer unsure if it was okay with a baby as some pubs are not too keen. Baby was good and quiet and the staff were very accommodating and friendly. Really enjoyed our visit and husband gave the beer 10/10 fantastic.

This was are favourite pub/restaurant during our stay in Bishops Castle. We ate here twice.Both times the food was delicious and the service excellent. The staff are very friendly and welcoming - the best we experienced during our stay. You feel well looked after.Even when busy the service is efficient.The beers are very good and incredible value - probably helps that they are brewed on site. £3.35 for a pint.

I believe this to be the brewery tap for Three Tuns brewery. You can have a beer watching the comings and goings in the old brewery building.The excellent real ale was my main attraction as they serve Clerics Cure ,XXX and their other brews.Still applying strict covid precautions so it was table service. Staff were friendly helpful and attentive. A real character of a pub in a village that also has charm and character.The menu offered a good range of choices you can check this onlineFantastic quality and value.It's the sort of pub where you can enjoy great beer knowing the missus is also happy.

Love the Three Tuns, great pub. The Solstice is one of my all time favourite beers. Friendly service, always feel welcome. Don't miss it if you're passing Bishop's Castle

Overall lovely place to eat, close to campsite and lovely friendly staff! Only downfall is the kids dinner! £6.95 for 3 small pieces of grilled chicken and 6 chips! And the beans tasted like they had vinegar on them. Adults meals no complaints at all they were very tasty!!
