Good location in terms of its proximity to the city centre. Breakfast okay; room decor and bed needs review.Had to request a change of room because of the creaking bed!Overall, a fairly disappointing experience; noted that the staff were friendly and helpful.

Nice hotel, well positioned and we had a good view of the river from our room. We had the breakfast buffet which was nice. Quite pricey for the room so to have to pay an extra £10 per night to park was a let down. Very tight car park too.

Room had connecting door to another room so no soundproofing, kept awake all night by screaming infant and arguing parents. Added to this, little soundproofing from room above, where the guest spent, what seems like hours, pacing around their room! Great location, lovely comfortable bed, but all a bit irrelevant if you can't get a good night's sleep! Don't believe the Premier Inn hype!

Had a lovely 1 night stay, self service check-in was a breeze, didn't have to deal with other people at all which was lovely. Room was clean and tidy. Bed was very comfy.

Very dated rooms, missing net curtains so if you had the curtains open everyone could see in. The whole time there we saw no staff, had to us a kiosk to check in and it was not working when we left. Room was not serviced, so no fresh towels on day 2. Also very small car park so you need to be prepared to park elsewhere.

Great location three minutes walk from the station, easy self check in, good sized rooms ( we were looking over the river ) which was very quiet due to the triple glazed windows and a very comfy bed.Convenient for most places in Shrewsbury, wetherspoons nearby for cheap drink and breakfast and a great tapas restaurant, Aleoli y Tu, just over the bridge.Would stay here again next time we visit Shrewsbury

Comfortable, clean room. Easy check In and out. excellent location. Would have been 5*, but there was no bitter in the bar.

Location is great, ideal for the Thai restaurant over the road and nice walks round the shops.Staffing is shocking, only 1 member of staff between the bar and checking in large queues of customers.Restaurant closed for food in the evening and no-one informed us before arrival.Checking in now as late as 3pm, vending machines out of order. No bottled still water at the bar.Room too hot unable to turn it down. Disturbing sleep due to uncomfortable temperature. We used to like the quality of the pillows and given the choice of soft or firm. We only get offered 1 each now and the quality is very bad - lumpy and hard.Used to like premier inn but lots of standards have changed and not for the better.Steve & Lorraine Hancox

Room superbly clean, very comfy large bed, lovely shower and bath. Just what we needed after a night out. Room a little warm but there is air con, we didnt use it as stayed in December. Breakfast was great, Costa coffee from machine particularly good. Staff great. Would definitely recommend and stay here again. Great location for exploring town and near to railway and castle. Superb location next to river.

Good size room overlooking the river. The bathroom was a bit rough at the edges but perfectly serviceable. The breakfast buffet is good value for money with a range of options. I like a cooked breakfast when staying in a hotel and I enjoyed the one I had here very much. The carpark for the venue takes some tracking down as it isn't signed from the main road. Fortunately after reading reviews on here we knew it was a difficult one to find and we were successful in locating it. Warning: don't pay for the parking until you have located a space. If you pay up front and you get there to find no spaces available you are stuffed.Otherwise it is a well located hotel at a good price in a beautiful city.
