Great food, large portions and good service. Staying close by and decided to try to Wharf Tarvern for Saturday lunch. Good pub food and reasonably priced.

I stopped for lunch here mid-way through a cycle ride. It's a very pleasant pub, in a super countryside location. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The service was quick and the food great.

Ourselves and our friends have been visiting the Wharf Tavern for a few years now caravanning. Sharon and her staff are very hardworking and polite. The food is second to non and the portions provided should be accompanied with a "Government Health Warning" purely for the amount you get!! We will definitely be visiting again as and when we can and we can't recommended too highly.

Great food, lucky to live local to The Wharf. Beautifully set next to the canal. Food amazing, staff welcoming and friendly. Highly recommend

Stayed in the cottage belonging to the pub and had a great stay. Dined at the pub 3 times and the quality of the meals and the service was spot on. Very generous portions too. We still have to be extra careful due to Covid and the staff couldn’t have be more helpful, they even delivered the Sunday lunch to the cottage. Loved it. Photo taken from just outside the front door of the cottage.

My partner and I stayed on the caravan park last night for first time and enjoyed fabulous meals and perfectly kept ales! T bone steak was best I have had in many a year and a special mention for Eddie B behind the bar who made our time in the pub so enjoyable (top bloke). Customer service is as good as it gets. Highly Recommended

To be honest we only went here as our "usual" was not doing food lunchtimes but what a find. All four of us actually had the steak and kidney our as one of us had been there some time before and remembered the BIG pie. The pie did not disappoint, we had the choice of chips or potatoe we had a really big helping of chips- thin, very tasty not greasy and a choice of veg on a separate dish. Very nice, to top it all it overlooks the canal. Great!

17th May 2021-update:We're back at Goldstone again and had to go for a drink at the Wharf Tavern most definitely! The first time the inside was open at last and although we didn't sit inside, the social distancing was maintained and the staff were very attentive and welcoming. As it was a glorious sunny afternoon, we elected to sit outside in the very picturesque gardens in the sun....all the tables were social distant as well. Once we had our table number noted, we then ordered our drinks at the serving hatch inside the Wharf Tavern as they don't do outside table service anymore due to the inside being opened now to the public....My pint of ale was delicious and the Chilean house Chardonnay was lovely too. Thanks to all the staff for a great experience yet again and hopefully we'll have a sit down meal again soon...Last year 2020: We moored up at Goldstone and went for Sunday lunch at the Wharf Tavern. Our friends and us had lovely meals, the pint of Joules ale was good too and the food and drinks were reasonably priced as well. Definitely be back again although suggest to anyone who might want to go for a meal here to book beforehand as it was packed and busy...The staff were friendly, welcoming and the service didn't suffer due to the busy lunchtime period. Social distancing was maintained and the atmosphere was pleasant under the circumstances....
