Just been to have the festive menu at the white bear. Ben and Mara are so welcoming and made us feel right at home. Dog friendly and made our fur baby at home with sausages and treats. Paddy is an amazing chef, food is absolutely amazing. Great staff behind the management who give great customer experience. Well done all can’t wait to come again 😀😀😀

Staff very friendly and helpful, did their best to fit us in even though they were very busy. Roast beef was fabulous

·

Absolutely delicious triple cooked chips with port and blue cheese sauce!!! Boyfriend had beer battered cod with chips which were again delicious!!! Thoroughly recommend and will definitely be returning x

Wonderful sunday lunch homemade yorkshire puds and gravy with homemade cauliflower cheese. A delicious meal and the sticky toffee pudding with sauce was amazing

Very friendly staff extremely helpful and attentive. Although busy and lots of people it was not crowded but we left at eight and it looked as though it was building up a lot. A few customers were well oiled!

Today we had a wake after mums funeral. The food was excellent all freshly made the quiches were tasty and the scones were excellent. Would definitely recommend this pub and visit again.

I feel sad that I didn't say something whilst I was there but, I feel that my words would have been upsetting rather than constructive. The staff and setting were very nice.Covid meant that open doors left the building colder than preferable. The food took time to come. Prawns over cooked, a salad which was very much a starter and the ploughman's was mostly an expensive deconstructed ham and cheese bap. I would have commented on the truffle chips but I only got the triple cooked ones which are, in the very best hostelries, fat collectors.I believe this was an off day. Do go but ask about the food and be specific. On a hot day, I may have been happier.

What an excellent lunch. Missing scotch egg from the Ploughman's Platter, we ate it before I took the picture 😂😂 Great service. Gracias

Visited while on holiday in the area. Great food. Fantastic portion sizes. Couldn't finish the whole thing. Still had desert though. There's always room for desert 😉
