Where is Wildegoose Tearoom?

🏠 The Walled Garden Lower Millichope, Craven Arms SY7 9HE

"Please note the tearoom is now closed until March 2022. We are a quintessential British tearoom serving tea, coffee, cake, toasted teacakes and scones throughout the day (10am - 4.30pm). Light lunches (quiches, salads, soup, sandwiches) are served between 11:30am and 2:30pm. Our selection of delicious homemade cakes are varied weekly and where possible we use fresh seasonal produce grown in our kitchen garden. An extensive range of Gluten free options is always available."

Excellent tea, coffee and cakes, lovely surroundings and dogs are allowed!

Had scones and cakes which were very good. Probably the second best I have ever had and I have eaten a lot of scones. Really liked the lemon curd with them. Also tea with a proper tea pot and China cups was great. The building is nicely done out and the views of the Shropshire hills are great. It should be even nicer now the flowers are starting to come out. Just be aware as the web site says it is a light lunch with soup and quiche rather than a full on sausages etc. Also if you just want to pop into the cafe you don't need to pay for the walled Garden. As I saw lots of cyclists around the area I could see them popping in for a spot of lunch and a look at the view. Not sure where they would keep the cycles however. Would I do back - yes, will definitely grab a cream tea iI I am at the Nursery.

Just lovely, so English.

Visited as part of the nearby Millichope Park open day on Sunday 25 June 2017. The tea Room is in the corner of the walled garden nursery. It has an indoor serving area with tables plus more tables for eating outside. It is based in a recently built wooden tea Room next to the newly renovated lean to greenhouses. The tea is served in proper cups, no plastic thank goodness, with lovely homemade cakes to go with it.Pleasant service and friendly staff.

What an idyllic setting to have a lovely relaxing lunch. Will definitely be visiting again.
