Awful, apart from one lovely lady who I eventually managed to get my bill from and leave, the majority of the young girls working here are more interested in chatting to each other than working their section. Second time I've been because it's local, decided to give it a second chance, never again, they say you can judge a restaurant by its toilets go see for yourself, let me know how you get on.

Great main courses - we were admonished by a member of staff for helping ourselves to salad when no one had told us we had to be served by a member of staff and no one was posted at the salad bar. Our desserts were forgotten about - after 25 minutes waiting for ice cream had to chase a server and miraculously the desserts arrived shortly after ………….

We had a wonderful time here and will definitely be back again. The staff was absolutely lovely and the food was incredible. I know they say don't eat anything bigger than your head but the ice-cream was just to hard to say no to.

Roxanne the manager was friendly and explained the process to us thoroughly. They serve the salad to you and it is fantastic. Fresh, well presented and the chef was happy to fill my bowl exactly how I wanted. Tasty food & good options on draught. Clean tables with enough space to enjoy your meal privately as a family whilst still experiencing the atmosphere of a busy restaurant. Rotisserie chicken and ribs are spot on. All in all a very impressive visit to Shirley Harvester

Had a lovely experience, the food came out piping hot. There were 17 of us, all the food came out the same time which was great. The salad bar was fresh. The waitress Vicky was exceptional, very polite. She also kept coming over to see if we were ok and if we required anything else. Top service had a lovely birthday there. Would definitely go again thank you.

Fantastic service from Sarah, very happy to glass bottled Coke was available, and the unlimited salad as lovely as always.I tried "The Purist" vegan burger (I can't digest beef and seem to live in chicken and fish!) This was easily the best non-beef burger I have ever tried, succulent and cooked perfectly. The vegan cheese substitute in it was good too, making most vegan cheese look awful in comparison. The chips were great as always and the vegan burger sauce was good enough to dunk the chips in!Skipped the starter and pudding on this occasion.Couple of things not offered I would like to see in future: lactose free milk, and lactose free cheese ( I have the lactose free mature Cathedral city cheddar at home). Tea and cheese with crackers would have been a perfect end to this meal, but very satisfied with the meal as was.Thank you to all the staff on duty for a very good experience.

We went here for the Brunch with Santa. There was no pressure to see him at any set time. Roxanne and the team asked if we wanted our food first or to see Father Christmas first. We decided to eat first (so as not to get the kids too excited) and we weren’t hurried along. The food was great, and the waiting staff were very attentive - but not overly - and so good with the kids. It’s fair to say Santa wasn’t the Hollywood version, but he was great with the children, and they were in awe.Roxanne and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Definitely somewhere we’ll go again.

Lovely place. Large and spacious and really great staff. Service time was also good. Appeared clean and hygienic. Good value for money.

One picture is of the beefeater restaurant, we headed there after The Harvesters disaster!!!!Can i give less than one star!?!It was like a ghost town, staff all over the place, i even wondered around taking pics of the empty tables and dirty plates left on the other empty tables. No one spoke to me. They all seemed to want to hide!Eventually a guy spoke to me, he seemed shocked i was asking if they were open!?!I have never felt so un welcomed at a restaurant, ever!!!!Left speechless! Why so complacent and rude? They completely ruined any vibe we had going, almost like they didn't want us there!I wouldn't usually leave a bad review but this had to be said!Especially during covid, i know businesses have had it tough, i work in retail myself. We are all currently in the beefeater down the road, very welcoming, friendly and POLITE!We are happy to spend our time and money here at The beefeater instead!Avoid if you want a nice family meal out.I would love some feedback off you guys!Never known anywhere so unprofessional, very disappointed 😞
