A very friendly family run hotel and restaurant. Have followed McKees from Studley to Balsall Common via Solihull and have always been more than satisfied with my visits. Although the menu is set for three months there is always another menu sheet offering changing additions. The food served is reliable without being boring, just enough spirit of adventure. This is particularly true of their themed evenings which are extremely good value for money. Long may Haig's continue to serve me and the community of Balsall Common and beyond.

Very good stay nice helpful staff clean rooms good food will stay again

Lovely food, very good value and lots of little extra touches like baskets of breads and fresh butter, home made shortbread to finish. Beef bourg was absolutely fabulous and delicious home made desserts. Definitely recommend.

The food here is absolutely beautiful and the menu is always changing, so its a nice surprise. You really can't grumble as its such good value.We've been to a couple of their event nights which are slightly more expensive but not much and again food is fantastic.On top of that the staff are always exceptionally pleasant.Its now my favourite place for dining out. Even during Covid they've offered a takeaway service which again is really good value.

This was our first time at haigs, and on entering I did notice large paintings on a yellow wall and every painting was crooked I wanted to go round and adjust them all. The decor needs some work but we were here for the food so that's me just being picky, we ordered two lagers both we're cloudy and I thought here we go another place to avoid. But the staff were happy to replace them, and as for the food I couldn't fault it lovely food great staff we're definitely going back. It's so hard to find a good restaurant on your doorstep and now we have, keep up the good work guys.

Really lovely meal. Service was super. Great value for money. We took 3 children (aged 11, 9 & 7 yrs) and had a kids menu to suit them. Also took an 84 yr old and access was easy.

Haigs Hotel and McKees Brasseries is a family business that never fales to impress, with a great and reasonably priced menu offering 2 and 3 course meals, and to be able to end the night by going to our room and having a good nights sleep, thank you for a great night.
