Old Lode Lane Fish Bar in Solihull

The fish was ok but the chips were not very good. They needed to be cooked for bit longer.

Very small portions for the price, I was visiting over that way. Glad my local is cheaper and with bigger portions. The large fish was as big as a small at my local, and the small fish was only a little wider than a fish finger

The chips were old chips very brown and tough. Not fresh and the batter on the fish wasn’t crispy at all. A shame as we hoped for better. Staff very friendly and lets hope mine was a unusual last 30 /40 mins of closing service.

Save your money and go to nico's 250yards down the road, greasy heat lamp excuse for a meal. Rude and arrogant family run business, the only saving grace was the polite young lady serving the food, who got sneered upon for being polite. Go to a proper chippy.

Great local chippy. Fish and chips are always spot on and reasonably priced. Only problem due to covid it queues get quite long if you hit it at wrong time. But would still choose here over other chippys in area.

Chips had been sat out for a long time. Really hard and chewy.Sausage was stone cold.Curry sauce was lovely though

Just bought a large Cod fish with Chips for mum. She loved the taste and quality. Customer service was top class. Glad to find a gem around Solihull.

Stood the test of time. Best chippy in the area. Super cod and for a real treat order a freshly cooked large haddock. Wide range of beautiful pies. Good sized portions and friendly staff
