Spice Club in Solihull

Went on Friday night for a curry (party of 4). Booked in advance. Food was nice and came out fairly quickly. However, the thing that let the experience down was the rushed and over-attentive service.2 waiters hovered over us for the majority of the meal and swooped in to top our beers up the moment we’d taken a sip or to take a plate/bowl away as soon as it was empty.The whole experience felt extremely rushed and it felt like the restaurant wanted to turn our table over as quickly as possible.I get it’s a Friday night and a business wants to maximise its revenue but this was over the top and will ultimately lead to fewer, or even no, repeat visits in the future.Going out for a meal isn’t just about enjoying nice food. It’s also about the service and the ambience. I want to relax when I’m out for a meal and enjoy the food, drink & company. Unfortunately, I couldn’t do that on my visit.

Beautiful take last night. We all said it was the nicest Indian meal we have had for ages. Will definitely be using them again

This was a lovely meal - staff were super nice. We had a fun rapport and the food was delicious.If I had to nit-pick on one issue it would probably be that the staff kept standing around and staring at us whilst we were waiting for our food/eating. This was highly uncomfortable - but we understand that this is for our interest too. Might have also been because we were the only people there for 30mins whilst we waited for the dinner crowd

Over many years I have been having my Take-Aways from Spice Club and they never fail to please with the manner and effciency being excellent - the food delicious - as is also the wine! Many thanks.

Excellent service, staff were very friendly and approachable. Atmosphere was calm and very relaxed. Catered to dietary requirements and the food tasted delicious. I will be recommending this place to family and friends for future meals out and I will definately be returning.

Absolutely top class chicken tikka balti

I was recommended to try Spice Club from Demi at the Premier Inn in the town centre.Her recommendation was very much correct. I loved the authenticity of the staff and the food. Truly lovely. I simply asked for the most traditional dish, which turned out to be a lovely on the bone lamb curry. They suggested adding a daal which I did and it was fantastic. I was also blessed by a lovely mother and son sitting next to me and conversed with June and Richard for the evening.Great service, amazing food and a truly enriching experience.

Lovely food, great little Indian which is clearly very popular. I was on my own and chanced my luck for a table. Was served quickly and efficiently. Also given free ice cream, candy and a liqueur shot at the end. Had a two course dinner for less than £20.
