The George in the Tree in Solihull

The George In The Tree, part of the Beafeater chain, is a lovely public house with a wide choice of food and drinks that will suit all tastes. There are spacious rooms with sensibly spaced seating areas. A large parking area is easily accessed off the main road going from Balsall Common through to Stonebridge, from which there is wheelchair access at the main entrance of the pub, if needed.The landlord, Mark is particularly friendly, taking personal interest in his customers, which creates a lasting impression. Well done Mark, thank you. We shall be back!

We were a party of 4 adults returning from a trip to Birmingham but decided to return via Balsall Common rather than down the M40.The Beefeater car park is just off the roundabout at the edge of the A452 dual carriageway.We were greeted like old friends though it was our first visit.Cost is ££ with good quality and substantial meals.Will visit again in the near future.

Slow and rude service and the food was appalling and over priced and you could have done better with a microwave popped in on the way home from a day out and will not be returning to any beefeater again!!!

Went with family for Sunday lunch (8 persons) excellent meal, friendly service and large portions. Well priced at £10.49.

Fairly typical chain pub food, reasonably priced. While the outside is a little tired looking, inside is pleasant. As with any pub or restaurant, the staff are what can make or break your visit. While the bar staff were OK, we were lucky enough to have Becky and Penny as our waiting staff. They were amazing, run off their feet but still really friendly, coming back to check our food was OK and always with a smile on their faces.

It was so good to see that this place has come back. We both had a two course meal and two drinks (at £40.00) off the lunchtime menu with the split for food just less than £20.00. The food was excellent for the cost, I had sirloin and my wife had a lasagne. My wife couldn't finish her lasagne so I got to taste that as well, so good I finished it! The service was excellent and courteous. We shall definitely start using the George in the tree again.

We visit the George in the tree quite often, sometimes we go as a family for birthday meals ,or just the 2 of us , or take the grandson, you can't fault the warm welcome you get and the staff are great ,the meals are always hot and fresh and nothing is to much trouble....

We have been a handful of time in a short amount of time we love it. foods been great staff are great even when we ask for something different it’s not a problem. My daughter has autism and if we ask where she would like to go it’s here. The lighting the sound everything is perfect . BIG THANK YOU

Staff really friendly but main meals not the best. Roast chicken was pretty dry and vegetables pretty standard. Burger was pretty underwhelming too. I'd expect much better quality of food for the price.

This only the second time we have been here. First time for lunch. Lovely service. Food was very good . We both had haddock and chips and desert. Total cost. £23 including soft drink each. Would highly recommend
