Lovely little hotel, staff were really nice and friendly. I burst a button on my dress, I went to reception to see if the had a safety pin and he actually gave me a little packet with some thread, needle and safety pin, so I was able to sew my button back on and they had a blue thread that actually matched my dress, he saved the evening, Thank you π . They also have a heated pool with a sauna/steam room. Will definitely come back.

Great hotel at a great price.Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean. Loved the facilities. Only reason not 5 stars was a little dated with upgrades and maintenance needed especially in the pool old Styrofoam coming off rock feature. Other than that great place to stay. Highly recommended

An awkward one to answer, pros and cons hotel set in large grounds plenty of parking easy to find. Reception staff very helpful, room was spacious, however was a bit tired and cleaning wasn't the best, looked like a cupboard or drawers had been removed, near door but dusty were no one had hoovered, bathroom a few hairs too. Bed was very comfortable, the room hasn't aircon so opened window but outside on the ground floor is a generator which runs from about 6am till late at night, so background noise, so asked for a fan which was provided. Bathroom steamed up due to either fan not strong enough or not working. Restaurant food was excellent but limited choice with no side dishes available. On site gym again dated but equipment worked OK. Overall would rate as a 3 star plus but has potential to be a 4 or even 5 star, would stay again though.

Very good value FOR money. Nice seevice. Fantastic staffs. Comfy bed. Good breakfast, only needs more vegetarian options and continental breakfast along with English beeakfast being conference hotel with international delegates. Parking is fine. Ample of space. Check in is easy. Looking forward to come back.

I was here for my sons wedding. From start to finish the service and staff from the hotel were great. Everything ran on time. All the meals were lovely and hot and the buffet was excellent. I would certainly recommend it.

Receptionists were excellent and very present and attentive and the room was a good size but that's where the compliments end. The bed was mobile, the mattress incredibly soft and obviously old and the duvet cover was torn but had been put on anyway! The sink in the bathroom was also cracked so looked filthy.Worst of all was the breakfast which was included not optional and an absolute joke. We were told they served until 10.30 but when we came down at 9.45 everything was gone and we had to overcome a difficult language barrier to make this known. The serving staff were seemingly cross that we were asking for more food, we were clearly a massive inconvenience even with 45 minutes of service remaining. Apparently there wasn't enough food because earlier breakfast diners had had too much from the buffet! Some food arrived but it was freezing and undercooked. The quality of the breakfast was poor, it was disgusting food. While we reluctantly ate what came (we felt we had to!) the staff stood over us to hurry us up clearing elements of the breakfast off our plates while we were still eating. It was disgraceful.

We attended a wedding here recently. Really beautiful venue and staff were amazing throughout. Really attentive, friendly and helpful. The food was also really lovely. One teeny criticism. The toilets in the bar need a serious overhaul.Otherwise a great place

Good points: Staff were generally friendly. Breakfast - bacon and sausages were tasty. Plenty of parking. Convenient for events at the hotel.Bad points: Rooms very tired, lots of damage or wear & tear that has not been repaired. Paper peeling off walls, dirt in corner of rooms, window frames (Inside) manky. Towel rail didn't work (in fact not even connected), bedside lamp not working - oh, and lamp shades had nice brown stains. Bed was lumpy - we could feel the individual springs doing their best to pierce our bodies.Whilst meat was good, the customer service was very disappointing. For example, plenty of staff were collecting plates and booking residents in, but no one was checking up on the buffet. During the meal, and on behalf of my companions and myself, I had to ask for cups, sugar, milk, beans & hash browns. I had to do this a number of times and I was not alone. If I had not set the satnav correctly, I would have thought I was on the set of 'Rising Damp', nothing came close to the press photos leaving me feeling more than a little duped. Unfortunately this was definitely not worth what I paid for a night. Some money and effort could transform the place but right now there is not much to recommend it. Look around, consider other options.

Booked a weekend break for my birthday. The day before l received a call from the hotel receptionist, stating that they had cancelled my booking due to some problem with the hotel. However l was not offered any alternative or apology for the short notice and inconvenience, I was only told that I would receive my refund within thenext few days.My birthday plans were ruined and that was that. Thanks great customer service. π

We booked the Garden Room and bar for a Celebration of Life for my father. Victoria from events planning was very helpful in preparing and organising this and the restaurant manager on the day (and all the staff) were very efficient and courteous. We opted for the Fork Buffet and both the hot and cold options were excellent. We would like to thank them for making a difficult time so much easier for us.
