Chase Gate in South Staffordshire

Regardless of this being part of the Hungry Horse chain of restaurants, this particular one has not disappointed us so far on the four visits we have had. The staff are friendly and helpful. There is an outside play area for the kids to play in when it's good weather, and inside there are three booths with TVs should the weather be not so good.The entrance is wheelchair accessible with a good selection of seating suitable for all, and there is a bar area too for those not dining.

My partner and I went here yesterday afternoon, it was nice and quiet. Staff were really friendly, fabulous customer service. Food and drinks were really nice. Cleanliness of the pub was really good too. Will definitely be visiting again.

Food arrived hot, they were busy but the food kept coming from the kitchen. I can not fault the team on that night. The girls are so polite, they're a great bunch, nothing was too much trouble.A lovely couple of hours out with family and I didn't have to wash up 😊 always a bonus, we will visit again.

We come here often, the food is mostly tasty and well priced. Service is always friendly and the atmosphere the same. Our only gripe with the food is the chips/onion rings/halloumi fries are ALWAYS under cooked - last night all orders at our table (and the 2 tables next to us - we over heard them mentioning the same with their orders) had warm, soggy chips and onion rings, halloumi the same - not golden and crispy like they're supposed to be. Sort that out and I'll give you 5 stars, it's no biggie but a very simple thing to fall short on. As said though - aside from that everything is great. Love it here.

Called here for a spot of lunch.A large establishment with plenty of seating. Wasn't to busy when we walked in, found ourselves a Table with a window seat. Ordered from a charming young lady at the bar who said she would bring the drinks over. Beer was cold and well conditioned.The same young lady brought the meals over and after asking if we required anything else she left us. I are going to go out on a limb here and say that was probably the best Steak and Ale Pie I have had, large tender chunks of meat, it also comes with a boat of gravy that was as Tasty as the pie.Well worth a visit if you're in the area.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Food was amazing we only had to wait about 15mins for our meals which I find was fast as other places you wait longer. Would definitely recommend we even had the shared dessert amazing

We went here for Sunday lunch for my birthday. Our table seated 9 and 2 babies. Once we had finally decided what to eat from the tempting menu our food was delivered quite quickly. Everyone enjoyed their food. It is a clean, spacious pub with quiet areas too. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely go again.

Been here twice now and must say it’s the best hungry horse I’ve been to. Friendly warm welcome staff cannot do enough for you very efficient and no complaints on the food very nicely cooked and good portions well presented. Defo recommend I’ve got no faults

There's going to be changes for cleaners round here from now on were going to get more rights. were fed up of being looked down at as a new cleaner being accused of not getting rid of old stains, excuse me but that is just bad manners as I only just started here q few weeks ago. And a coffee wouldn't go a miss have plenty of it, it is mornings I work I did like a coffee. And cleaners are not to be looked down at and moaned at and back stabbed for no reason like I was they're there to clean and get you business up and running so treat em with respect I scrubbed those toilets for you. The men's smelt great these last few weeks since I've been there. Others may tolerate not having a coffee in the morning after travelled around early hours to get there but I won't. You serve good food and you serve a good service but don't no one treat me like that again. Your foods fantastic shame about your manners when it comes to your cleaners . I'm not saying you cant complain if a clean is not doing their job but I only a few weeks started It was early morning and I was still half asleep. Your deputy manger poured me a coffee and spoke to me nicely you do the same and stop back stabbing it was a bar.mop I used for your bar for a carpet stainit wasn't going to hurt it was rung out and it was not the toilet mop so get over yourself. I know how to clean a restruant. I'm a professional. If you'd have given me time I would've cleaned everything I had only just started and without a coffee I'm half asleep. I need my fix I dont have time before I go out. The foods great 👍 I've eaten in there like I said shame about how you treat your cleaning employees.

Meh. Seemed understaffed when we went Sunday evening, it was quite busy. Drinks and food got brought at the same time so we were sitting at the table for a while with nothing, felt bad on the staff wanted give them a hand. Food was edible but not enjoyable, didn't want to cause a fuss with how much the staff were running round so just ate it seemed like a waste of money, had pudding to try and save the food but the sundae was all ice cream hardly any toppings so again just seemed like a waste of money. Won't be rushing back anytime soon. Staff were great though
