I stayed in the Rose room which was nice enough. Large room with lots of space, a seating area overlooking the gardens and a 4 poster bed with excellent black out curtains too.The TV was quite small snd some of the furnishings are getting a little worn and the room needed a little bit more attention to detail on the cleaning side.Still nice enough for the night.

Lovely afternoon tea but rather a long wait for our drinks and food

Hosted funeral wake for my father. Fabulous friendly staff, met at the door by the owner. Great spread of afternoon tea, fabulously presented, and everyone commented how wonderful it was. No time pressure, well informed staff.

Very decent hotel/event venue. Bags if character and small enough to make an intimate family gathering magical. Great food, tasteful decor and individual rooms add a rare charm. Outside seating areas and gardens are delightful.

We came yesterday for afternoon tea for two. This was a present from my son for my birthday. It’s the second time I’ve been here for afternoon tea, so I was quite disappointed this time. There was only one waitress on and she was no where in sight when my husband accidentally knocked his tea over. It went on the table cloth and on the floor and all down himself. I eventually found the gentleman at his desk near to the entrance. He was helpful by moving us to another table. We were never asked if everything was ok with our food or if we wanted more tea or any other drink. The sandwiches were all stuck together and there were pieces missing out of the two tray bake cakes. The others were ok. I don’t think I will be ever going there again as I wasn’t very satisfied and there are many more places that do afternoon tea.

Visited hotel as a last minute change to original meeting venue being closed. Turned up on spec and had a warm welcome and nice coffee in comfortable surroundings. Would use again.

Very good. Nicely set up for afternoon tea. Very pleasant experience at a time when we needed a lift due to lockdown. Would return if the opportunity presented itself. Service excellent and we were very well looked after.

Not the Sunday lunch l expected after reading the reviews. The starter was very measly. Hoped for cheese and biscuits for dessert as the main course failed to satisfy my hunger (I am not a heavy eater). Alas deserts were only for sweet tooth lovers.

Stayed here after finding on Google and what a find it was. Beautiful country house hotel with amazing gardens and grounds. We stayed in the Dunsley suite with a gorgeous four poster bed, period furniture and modern shower suite. The hotel has amazing period furniture throughout, wooden panelling, and a real homely feel. We arrived late and were greeted by the night manager. We had a lovely night sleep in a mega comfy bed. We could only have a continental breakfast due to current covid restrictions. The bread was delicious, as was the marmalade and tea. We shall definitely be visiting The Dunsley Hall Hotel again once all covid restrictions are lifted
