Very disappointing, starters good, but roast was very poor. Was reheated potatoes, beef overcooked and flavourless, Yorkshire not fresh, tasted like a microwave meal, not worth £14.95, service very bad, ignored after main course so decided not have a dessert, had to wait for 20 minutes before received bill.Glad to have tested before booking a family meal, will be finding ann alternative venue.Should have checked other reviews, are they planning to go out of business?

Pre Pandemic myself and a friend used to go regularly for coffee. We went back yesterday for the first time. Order are now taken from the table, very slowly, the coffee was not very nice, after asking for a pot of tea for two, waiting ages, having to ask again, finally the tea arrived.Poor service, poor experience, sadly being crossed off our places to visit.

Took a few friends here today, and could not have asked for either better service or a better meal. The pie was superb as was the ploughman’s. The wine as you’d expect given the location was very good. Highly recommended.

Great lunch sat outside. Staff are great even when extremely busy. I can highly recommend the Ploughman's sharing platter with a portion of chips to share 😊

It's taken me 5 days to reflect on our visit and I still feel as I did on Mothers Day. A daughter booked a wine and cheese tasting to be followed by a 3 course lunch. The wine & cheese tasting was fantastic. A knowledgeable lady and all 4 of us enjoyed it .I truly wished the same could be said about the Sunday lunch. The smoked salmon I had for starters was pleasant but nothing amazing. I chose roast beef for my main course and I can say nothing good about it. The meat was tough, the vegetables were over cooked, the roast potatoes were so crispy a knife couldn't penetrate them and the centre had cooked away. One overcooked carrot and a slither of parsnip. The Yorkshire pudding was not light, as it was also overcooked and crispy. The Kale was the best part, as it had barely been shown any steam .We asked to see the menu again so we could choose a dessert . Thirty minutes later we gave up and asked for the bill. There were plenty of serving staff available but they didn't seem to have set tables to work and just flitted around.Unfortunately I don't see us returning for Sunday lunch anytime soon. An even greater shame when my daughter & partner had driven 2 hours to meet us here for lunch .

Thank you to all concerned for an absolutely amazing Mother's Day afternoon tea. The sandwiches ,cakes and scones were exceptional. The waiting staff couldn't have been more more helpful. The final touch was the bunch of daffodils for every mom.

Went for breakfast. Service was OK however for the money the full English was poor. One sausage (which had a very odd fkavour) no tomatoes or black pudding only one slice of 'supermarket bread' toast. Exyra sausage was 2.50 each! Not good value for money at all for nearly ten pounds.

Our first Sunday lunch here since the new build has been opened. The experience was OK but sadly nothing more. The service was pleasant enough but unfortunately it was also slow and felt "chaotic". The food, especially the meat seemed processed rather than a "farm shop" offering (such as Essington) that we were hoping for. Sadly the beef was reminiscent of Birds Eye frozen slices. At £13.95 per head I didn't think it was good value for what we had although the desserts did rescue what would otherwise have been a disappointing meal. It was also quite noisy, exaggerated by the new hard surfaces. I wish I could have been more complimentary.

Had lovely food & drinks on the balcony bar today, brilliant if you have good weather which today was. Both my Mom & myself enjoyed our visit & will be back again very soon. Staff are always very friendly & accommodating.
