Very dissapointed for the 2nd time! Cannot fault staff bar & restaurant very friendly & helpful. Birthday celebration checked out the menu on line only to be handed the bar menu on arrival not the restaurant one. I was looking forward to scallops & sea bass! Queried it to be told restaurant menu was not available. Pointed it out to member of staff even showed them the website. The restaurant menu should have been taken off their website months ago but hadn't been! The food was extremely salty. My partner also noticed the chef was eating chips at the pass! Cross contamination when hand to mouth then food to plate!

Disappointed it closed early.But the staff were friendly and gave great customer service.Thanks guys.

Great food, great drink and exceptional service from all the team especially Tom and Lee.

Very accommodating staff. Sunday roast (chicken) moist, vegetables cooked to perfection for my liking (not raw or overcooked) tasty gravy. Probably the best roast I've had here probably down to the fairly new chef.

Had a nice lunch, sat outside in the garden which was lovely. The chocolate mousse was delightful, the cider was excellent. The table could have done with being wiped down as it was rather gritty. Service was ok but would have liked another drink, it wasn't busy but no one asked, so didn't bother.

Very pleasant staff (despite wi fi issues) and surroundings (scarecrow festival was brilliant). Outside music was excellent.

It's almost easy to miss it when there is another huge pub nearby. BUT don't miss it as you'll be rewarded with a superb atmosphere and some incredible food too. We took our friends for a meal having never tried this place. We're even local and now can't believe we never tried it before. We intend to return and will happily recommend to others. You'll soon see why we say the food is amazing!

Recently refurbished throughout. Enthusiastic & attentive service. Simple menus, great meals (new Italian chef). 3 guest ales (eg. Butty Bach). Extensive garden.

20/12/20Today I ordered three takeaway Sunday lunches from the Crown in Pattingham. I have tried several takeaway meals during the past few months but the Crowns dish was without doubt the best by far. Top quality ingredients, excellent value for money, big potions and deliciously yummy. Well done 10/10
