This hotel is in quiet village and has very good restaurant in. Food is amazing and restaurant looks so trendy. Cleanliness of the rooms let this place down, carpets are stained, bathroom not very clean, and tap wobly and not high enough to fill kettle in the room properly. Coffee tray was in the room and some water too. For some reason bathroom has a glass door, which is maybe modern but doesn't give you privacy if you staying in with your children. Beds are very comfortable, but they could have two pillows each not just one. We loved our stay here, staff was helpful and nice. Car park is not far from the hotel and is free.

The staff are courteous and helpful, the food is excellent whether it's breakfast or evening meal, the decor in the Bar/restaurant is beautifully done, tasteful and in keeping with the charm of the building. At this price point low score for the room reflects the tired carpets, uncomfortable mattress and the poor drainage in the sink and shower but nothing would stop me returning (perhaps with a mattress topper) because the 2 night stay with breakfast was an absolute bargain. If the rooms were at the same high standard as the restaurant it would merit twice the price to stay

We have stayed here on numerous occasions.Mark the manager runs a great young team. He creates a warm welcoming, relaxed atmosphere.Super restaurant good value for money.Shout out to James, Hayley, Charlie who always make sure we are well looked after. The rooms are good value for money. There are some fine tuning issues that could be easily remedied with some money spent on them.Breakfast is excellentGreat locationAll in all great value for money

Very nice interior to the hotel and eating areas. Bedrooms were very good and more that adequate for our needs. 5 star breakfast and all the staff were friendly and helpful.

Where to start, wine stains on floor , ripped wallpaper , toilet seat doesn't stay up so have to keep holding it up whilst trying to use the loo, half used shampoo bottle left in the shower (was not left a new fresh one) cobwebs all over the room , bottom of bed has a bar clearly missing , dressing table leg missing ,heating left on all night with no way to turn down. Then to top it off , a squeaky bed with the world's most uncomfortable mattress , you can feel all the springs and it's very roll to the middle feeling, Its quite frankly ruined our trip as I now just want to go back home.

Delicious food, great table service, the staff being very accommodating and cheerful.

Nice updated pub. Thick piece of rump Steak. I would recommend medium rare. Definitely will be back for the outdoor courtyard.

Nice Place, great service, very tasty Sunday lunch - but some of the slices of beef, although tasty, were a bit chewy. I'll be back to taste test the other options 😋. The wine was excellent and not overpriced 😏

Didn't stay over, went for lunch as I had heard it was good food. Must be good because it was fully booked in the restaurant but we could eat in the lounge. Couldn't help but feel that I was being looked down upon, but the food was beautiful, however a medium fillet steak should surely have some juices to dip my chips in, not be well done!

An old building but mostly well kept. The rads in our room didn't heat up so we were given a fan heater. They said they'd get it fixed next day. Stairway is challenging. Good breakfast. If you stay here be sure to book a table in the restaurant, the Staffordshire Grill.
