Booked into the Vine as we going to the Gatehouse Theatre, which was only a few hundred yards away. First impressions were fantastic, very friendly reception, bit of a climb to our room but it kept us fit. Staff (think the lasses name was Loz or similar) in the Bar area very friendly and helpful, a very comfortable room and facilities, great breakfast service, even if a member of staff had failed to arrive, will certainly book here again -- no we have already booked in September !!!

Friendly staff. Comfy bed. Sign light outside room 22 was very bright but we had our sleeping masks so all good!

A very friendly old world hotel, this is not a soulless corporate place, it is full of charm & history & mind your head signs, the floorboards creak as you would expect from a place this old.The location is fantastic & a short stroll into the town centre, shops, pubs & restaurants & about a 10 minute walk to the train station,The Vine will be my 1st choice each time I visit Stafford.

The vine Hotel is a lovely restaurant. Upon arrival we were greeted as we walked throw the door and meet with a bar with a good selection of drinks.. the food menu was standard for a pub/restaurant but the way the food was cooked and presented was above standard and it tasted absolutely beautiful. Really friendly staff, old interior gives it a cosy atmosphere and a really nice place to drink or eat

My mum (Jean) and my auntie (Anne) stayed with you for just over a week (27th March - 5th April). I'm leaving a review as neither of them are online. They have been singing your praises! Lovely, comfortable, quiet rooms which are well serviced every day. A fantastic breakfast every morning. They love the building itself. They always feel warmly welcomed. Also, the evening meals are excellent. They really don't want to leave! It was a fruitful trip and stay though, as they want to move to Stafford and have found a nice house to rent. So I would imagine, they will be seeing you again soon.Thank you for looking after them so well.

Had a lovely relaxing stay this weekend at the Vine hotel. Had an excellent gammon, chips, egg and peas meal. Two good nights sleep and a great breakfast on departure. Good location right in the centre of Stafford and I thought a fair price for the room. Highly recommended. Thanks to everyone at the hotel.

Very expensive for the dirty drab room. My room was covered in dust and grub and an earring was found on the floor so clearly they hadn’t cleaned properly. Only good thing was how comfy the bed was. Now left, I feel dirty. 🤢

Visited and stayed for a week for work.Very comfy and quent room, with original slide windows which shows the buildings history which made it more aesthetically pleasing, with a nice sized bathroom. Heating was powerful which helped on those cold nights! However, very disappointed that 2 mornings in a row I had no power in my room and not even an apology was given to me either time. I was questioned as to what I was doing to cause it: I was there for work so I only slept in that room and woke up with no power so I didnt do anything: with that being said not very pleased when - only told during check-in - my card details are taken as security, but I have 2 mornings in a row of no power with not even an apology.Ate in the restaurant and was amazing, food was very tasty and good portions for the money so very good value, and the room was a pleasant surprise after coming from another hotel round the corner - thats why I give 3-4 stars worth

We had a lovely stay at the vine and James was brilliant as was the other staff. The food was excellent and the location of the vine was also good as it meant that we only had to walk to the register office. We would use the vine again and certainly would recommend to other people.Could not think of anything that could be improved

Always a lovely evening at The Vine in Wombourne. Friendly staff always with a smile & willing to help. Scrummy food & tasty drinks (highly recommend the Estrella 🍺). Have live music from time to time, got a saxophonist this Friday 🎷🎶😊
