Me and my wife came in on Sunday after hearing about it from some friends of ours and the food was top notch. We both had the trio of roast and it was all very good. I believe our waiter was called Charlie and he was exceptional. Will be back soon !

Easy to book on line. Service from Sam our waiter was second to none. One of the politest young men I have met in ages. Nice beer and food was delicious. Well done staff at the Vine.

We attended the Vine for a celebration meal as me and my wife were sharing the news of us becoming pregnant to our grandparents. We chose the Vine because of its good "reputation" and friendly atmosphere. However our meals were AWFUL! 3 of us ordered the beef dish, which came with mash potato, carrots & a dumping. The beef was described as "slow cooked" this was not true. It was 100% blasted through the microwave as it was tough, dry and chewy. It was some of the worst beef I have ever had in my entire life. 1 of the guests even refused to pay for their meal because it was that bad. The server didn't offer for this, they only offered to exchange the meal for another one. However as all 3 of them were awful, what would changing the meal do? it would of been exactly the same. I feel like I would not recommend anyone to dine here again and I don't think I will be back anytime soon.

Me and my partner had the 8oz Sirloin Steak and it was absolutely gorgeous and juicy. Best steak I have had out for a very long time, steak was done medium well and it didn't disappoint. For pudding I had the Crembul. Well worth the visit and money!!

Visited the vine yesterday. Wow!! Amazing atmosphere and gorgeous meal. We had the lamb rack and we were not disappointed. Top chefs. Also, I have to mention our waiter Charlie. He was absolutely stellar, gave our family great service and was so attentive to our needs. Will definitely be coming back soon .

What a lovely pub. Visited yesterday with a large group and service from Charlie was absolutely class. The food was quick and delicious. Cater for all kinds of diets too, with great vegan food. Can’t wait to visit again soon

We’ve been a number of times and the food and service are always excellent. Tonight we were looked after by Sam and the team who were fantastic. The portion sizes were good and the quality of the food was great. Good choice of food and drink, would highly recommend.

The Vine is a lovely little pub/restaurant with a cosy, rustic feel & décor to match. First thing I noticed at how busy the pub was and they seemed shorted staff which didn’t really impress me. The initial wait for drinks was quite long and for subsequent drinks orders as the staff weren’t particularly attentive and didn’t seem to care, possibly due to the busyness of the restaurant. Once seated, our waiter came over to take our drinks order. The drinks were on our table shortly after. This was great until we noticed the change in service once other members of our party had arrived. We had to call a member of staff over to allow us to order more drinks. The wait for food was over 30 minutes, however it was presently lovely with the rustic theme running through into the meals and the dining set. This was a beautiful touch. The lasagne was homely and filling, served piping hot and full of flavour. I wouldn’t say it was any different to something which is cooked at home by myself, however it was delicious non the less.  The garlic bread which was served with this dish however was quite disappointing – as it very doughy and didn’t have much taste. I would have preferred traditional crunchy garlic bread. My friend ordered the prime beef burger with fries and it was delicious; The fries were perfectly cooked and the burger was also exquisite; Especially the burger relish sauce which quite reminded me of McDonald’s big mac sauce which everyone knows is good! The main meal certainly filled the gap and the portion was a good size for the price and the flavour as aforementioned was brilliant. We also ordered a pizza and I noticed other diners were given pizza cutters and I only had my fork and knife to cut my pizza, which was a struggle at times. The pizza was cooked to perfection, even though we did ask for extra cheese it was a standard measure of toppings. . You could tell the pizza was freshly cooked. The toilets were clean, compact, and meeting the basic needs.Plates and empty drinks were cleared so the table remained without unnecessary empties throughout the evening which was very good service, however when asking for the bill it appears neither the waitress nor management could understand the different between a gift card and voucher code. This made dealing with the bill quite awkward and would be something I recommend training on. The food was great! However the service didn’t quite match that quality of the food, I would still recommend however as I’m sure it was a one off.Overall it was a 7/10
