Woodlands Restaurant in South Staffordshire

Was OK starter was nice & hot ..dinner was just warm ..nice atmosphere x

Most enjoyable evening. We were greeted on arrival by Kieran who showed us to our table and explained about the menu and wines, we even had a mini wine tasting to decide which wine we preferred. Our waitress was Emma who was very friendly. Both my husband and I had the fillet steak which was cooked to perfection and very tasty. This was our first visit and will definitely not be our last, thank you for a lovely evening.

We had received good reports about this restaurant and we were looking forward to dining here. We came on a Tuesday which is steak night. Plenty of parking including disabled spaces. Wheelchair accessible entrance. Friendly staff seated us at a suitable table which we had booked as some of the tables are on a raised area and not wheelchair accessible. The venue is very pleasant with good quality furniture and fittings. There is an accessible toilet which was clean but the door lock was broken which was unfortunate. Our order was taken fairly promptly and there was a good selection to choose from on the menu. Our sharing starter came out fairly promptly with a plate of penne pasta we had ordered for the toddler in our group. The pasta came without sauce, was swimming in butter and fairly tasteless. It was then over an hour before the server came back and asked us if we were ready for our mains. Which we were! We then had a further wait before they arrived. 4 of the party ordered rump steaks and although they were cooked to our preference 2 of them were very tough and sinuous. The salmon dish ordered was pleasant but the salmon portion was a very slim finger and not as enjoyable as ones we regularly purchase from Aldi. No staff member came near us to ask if we were enjoying our meal and after we had finished no one cleared the table or asked if we would like a desert or further drinks. Eventually we had to ask for the bill. Overall a totally different experience to that we had the previous day at The Waterhouse in Barton.

Great value for money with the lunch menu and smaller portions. The food was lovely. However it was a shame that the service was so slow. The staff were lovely but they were just super slow to come serve our table, take our orders, bring the bill etc.

Been many times before and it's always been great. Went for valentines last night and the food was fantastic. The sharer starter and desert were really good, mains were spot on too.

First time eating here, got table straight away lovely lay out tables layed service first class and the food was cooked perfectly had chicken supreme so tender will be going again .

Had a meal last night for my birthday and it was incredible.The food was amazing and portions were perfect and the service was amazing too.It was only me and my partner and considering how much food we got the price was lower then what we thought it was going to be. Especially for the quality of the food we received.We will definitely be back!

Service here absolutely first class. Was on a big (awkward) table of people changing orders, etc. but the waiting staff couldn't do enough for us. So polite and helpful. Food great too, had a nice fresh Greek Salad.

Food of high quality , so the price you pay can be justified, was left waiting to be seated for a little while and empty glasses was not cleared after use leaving the table crowded, server was pleasant and food very tasty, would return

Tumbledown Farm was such a nice surprise. The quality of the food was superb. The waitress was lovely and quirky with her unique bat boots and charming manner. Such a good vibe inside.
