Popped in while walking around Shugborough. Like somebody else mentioned, this is a proper pub. Friendly staff, 5 real ales on and the Exmoor Gold was superb. Dog friendly and great value food. Sat outside in the pleasant garden as the weather was ok and most people were eating which is always a good sign. Staff bought out biscuits for the dogs which is a nice touch. Can’t wait to go back and try the restaurant. Well done.

What a great place to eat! The food was great, the staff were friendly and chatty. If you wish to meet in the restaurant I would suggest booking or the same meals can be eaten in the bar. Food and drink was very reasonably priced as between us we had 6 drinks(3 of which were alcoholic) 5 main meals and t sides and it was less than £70!! One very happy yorkshireman! Highly recommend.

Stunning country pub, dog friendly, nice staff, good prices and delicious food! Visit everytime we are in the area because we love it that much. Definitely worth a visit

Good food and ale but service can be very slow. Food was served in a timely fashion though.

Popped in on Saturday lunchtime. This is how pubs used to be 30+ years ago, before chains and gastro pubs ever existed. Warm welcome, dog friendly and good old fashioned pub grub and drinks at very reasonable prices. Decent portions and even a complimentary bowl of sliced beef for our pup! Will be back sooner than later 😁👍

A real pub, as you remember them. A warm welcome, lively chatter, the food looked great, though we didn't try it, families enjoying lunch!, need I say more.

Good range of beers on offer. Real fire crackling in grate. Extensive menu with prices to suite any budget. Meals generous and tasty.

Went there with my friends as we'd just travelled up from South Wales on business and we were looking for somewhere to eat . This is a lovely friendly pub, plenty of car parking spaces . Plenty of real ales on offer and the food we had was really nice well worth the 5 stars I've given them . It was a very reasonable price plenty of it and very tasty.

Took the dog for a walk around Shugborough Hall, then for a welcomed drink in front of the fire. Friendly atmosphere and lovely bar maid who gave the puppy cheeky treats! Will be a regular visiting place from now on :)

An excellent bar. A bar and restaurant. Food is lovely and staff are very hard working and pleasant. I would certainly recommend a visit.
