The service is brilliant! I love the choices on the menu, as someone with a small appetite, a personal favourite is the loaded chips (cheese and bacon)! Our server Emily, was particularly helpful during our time there, would recommend going! :))

I took my wife, daughter and two sisters for a meal on the 12/02/2022 at this pub. I booked our table via telephone as we were struggling to book it online. We booked for 17:15pm and arrived at 17:03pm, we left at 19:26pm. We spent £86.72 for our meals & drinks whilst in there. I have used this pub many times and have always had a good experience in there. However, today, 01/03/2022 I have received a £100.00 parking fine for staying too long in the pub!! I had no idea there was parking restrictions, what the time limit is and this is not mentioned on the website or when I booked the slot over the phone. I have tried calling the pub 5 times now and no one picks up? This is just not fare and I will now struggle to pay this "fine". There will no doubt be a sign that I did not see, as I was not looking for them, but why has this pub got these parking restrictions? I will keep trying the phone and hope someone picks up.I have since spoken to the pub and they will kindly cancel this fine on submission of receipts. Thank you.

Left an average review after our first visit here as we had a few issues. The manager kindly wrote to us though to put things right - which he did!Second visit was different thankfully, breakfast was lovely and really good value for money. Decor is lovely, lots of seating - only criticism would be that it isn't very warm so wrap up when you go 😉

Had a good sausage sandwich, staff friendly and helpful. My son enjoyed the inside play area. Only note I have is the parking is 2 hours free so if you are going to be there for a while you have to remember to speak to a member of staff so they can take your car's registration number. This is sign posted before you enter the pub. I would say a good place to take young kids for a meet up with friends.

Unfortunately not a great experience all around from service, to food, even down to the soft play.We arrived and promptly placed a food order at the bar along with the first round of drinks, no problem. I wouldn’t even say 10 minutes later and our starters arrived, brilliant. However after an hour later and another visit to the bar for another round of drinks our mains weren’t yet served. We had also noticed that many tables around us weren’t cleaned of their dirty plates where customers had left. The table next to us sat for 45 minutes with dirty glasses on it. When our food did finally arrive underwhelmed is an understatement. The food was barely warm never mind hot and we only ate half our meals. We then went into the soft play area as it seemed to be quieter. Once in there others started to come through, not a problem of course, but they were clearly over the height limit and very hyperactive which led to another member of the public shouting aggressively whilst my 2 year old daughter was stood right next to him, scaring her. So we decided to leave only to then be shouted abuse at by who we can only assume is his daughter because we were leaving due to his behaviour.Overall a very disappointing experience given by a lacklustre team led by a very dismissal manager. One up side would be the blonde haired young girl that was clearly trying to carry the team and looked close to breaking point.

Great carvery, newly renovated, much more modern. Very tasty food. Family friendly. Would reccomend and return.

Waited to long for this very disappointing meal × 3.Family of three - given three free desserts and only paid for drinks.Could not recommend on this occasion as all reasons for delay not warranted and very poor presentation and cooked food.Saturday night 18.30pm table 52.
