Royal Oak in Stafford

Great food, friendly service and a good pint, what's not to like. 🍻👍😊🍲

My girlfriend and I had a lovely meal there. I would definitely go there again

The Royal Oak serve yummy food with a good choice on the menu to choose from.The mixed grills on a sizzling skillet is one of my favourites.Its a typical pub with nice staff and definitely worth a visit,prices aren't to bad either.

Been here a couple of times, food is great and a good selection. Steaks cooked perfectly as I like them. Nice and clean.

What's not to like? Great pub, great staff, great atmosphere, great pints, great food,superb prices & all on my door step! Oh and then there's the HUUUUUUUUGE back beer garden!!

Good food and nice quantity. I didn't have desert, since I was saited, however I saw deserts and they were fairly large. Service was a bit slow, but food was fresh and hot.

We had a wake here, in the function room. The pub itself was nice. The room wasn't modern and lighting a little dim in my opinion. It does have its own bar though, they charge you £25 for the use of this bar, and I must say there wasn't always someone available to serve (the main reason for the reduction in rating). The food provided for their buffet was standard sandwiches, mini wraps, sausage rolls, ½ pork pies, my husband liked their less traditional cooked chicken the most.The cost of drinks are reasonable, but the variety is a medium to low range of spirits etc.The staff were friendly.The atmosphere on Friday afternoon was calm and pleasant enough.The loos were clean.Plenty of free parking.I would have a drink and try the food here but probably wouldn't personally use their function room.

Great value food and drinks. Staff attentive. Very clean environment.The salad with chicken was not your average salad and I really enjoyed it.Apologies given for not having the cottage pie, this can't be helped in the current climate however there was lots of other choices on the menu which was great.Liked the caramel apple crumble lots.Staff were lovely and nothing too much trouble.

It was quiet Monday evening. Staff were friendly. Food was brilliant. My wife loved the vegetarian food options in the starters. Food got served quickly and well presented. We loved it here, we will definitely return more frequently in future.

Honestly not the best at all, I didn’t expect much more than quick pub grub but wow, they are the slowest kitchen staff ever.It wasn’t even that full and it took over an hour for them to make a basic meal! I really hope they are not payed by the meal because this place will be going bump very soon.Only two positives to pull, the bar staff was incredibly friendly and the price point is cheap as expected.
