Thai Lanna in Stafford

Just had a wonderful meal at Thai Lanna. So delicious. Had the shared platter followed by mixed seafood and rice. Husband had duck in spicy ginger sauce. Service was second to none. Highly recommended.

Service and quality of food was good but portions could be better. Ordered two portions of rice but only received a medium sized bowl of rice which I didn't feel was value for money.

Overall not a great experience, had tempura battered veg and prawns for starters, these had to go back as the prawns were incredibly overcooked. The batter was very heavy, dense and greasy. Didn't look fresh and appeared to have been fried more than once. The waitress that served us was pleasant enough. Had 'Pad See Ew' (I think) for the main, wasn't anything wrong as such, reasonably priced but nothing special. When paying however there appeared to be a bit of confusion over how the waitress was using the card machine. The manager (I think) and waitress stood at our table and were arguing over how to use the machine in their native language. It was a little rude and I had no idea what was going on as the card machine was snatched back and forward between them. I asked for a receipt, they went to fetch me one and as I was leaving the exact same thing happened again. I said its okay don't worry about the receipt but they were too wrapped up in arguing with each other to hear me. I had got bored of the drama and walked out. It was also pretty cold in there. Don't think I'll go again, it's a shame really as we thought we would try this place based on the good reviews.

Nice and cosy environment to dine. The food was outstanding, everyone in our group enjoyed their food and we all had different meals. The food is really good value. Plenty of choice, with meals catering for all. The waiting staff were polite and helpful and the food was served promptly. Booked in advance and the place was full, so recommend booking especially Friday to Sunday.

Nice place to dine, really good food. The only fault is the dishes are very small for the money they charge. l had a meal there twice and still left hungry, be aware, the dishes are very small.

Outstanding Thai food and so glad I found this place. The Pad Thai was better than most of the ones I've had in Thailand and brilliant they do smaller portions or larger portions for sharing. Excellent service and my definite go to place when I'm in the area. Make sure you book between Thurs-Sat.

Nice food, well priced. We tried the set menu for two and for £16 each it was a great chance to try a few different things. I'm pleased to say everything was very nice.It was not busy but had a few tables in and the service was great. Really can't complain and I'm sure we will be back.

Absolutely delicious, excellent service and reasonably priced

Wow, absolutely excellent, delicious, freshly cooked food! Cannot fault it one bit. We had a starters and mains. I am a vegetarian (my partner is not) and they catered exceptionally well for that. Please don't let the look of the place put you off - (as it does need an update in terms of decor) as the chef will blow you away with their outstanding skills!! Lovely people too, very friendly and welcoming.
