Hotel is beautiful. Room are lovely and spotless. However cheap electric shower was a bit of a let down. Unclear where to go to check in.The service was slow to check in. Loads of staff about but no acknowledgement. Manager checked us in and she was lovely. Later went to bar and service was so slow. Outside bar was really nice added touch. The restaurant again service very slow. Was accommodated when asked to move seat as it was cold were we were. The food however is a different story. I had to send mine back. Only 1 veggie option even though online there is a vegan menu, which we were told they don't do. The veggie option had cheese in so had to ask for it without and it was awful. Really salty. The manager did come to talk to me about it and refunded us.Which was good. The breakfast had 1 member of staff doing everything and she was run off her feet. She was really pleasant and really accommodated me with gluten free toast that she did completely separate. For £158 a night I would expect a cooked breakfast to be included but it wasn't. This place feels more style over substance.

A lovely Lunch with my Aunt in a beautiful location. The steak & ale pie was tasty, the fish & chips OK - the fish was over-cooked & the batter like armour plating. Puddings were OK - the chocolate brownie a bit dry & cheesecake lacked flavour.

What a lovely evening we had in The Cellar! Welcomed into the seated bar area in front of a warming fire and promptly served with drinks from a very friendly and knowledgeable waitress. We were then led to our seats at a lovely candlelit table. The starters, main and dessert were just awesome. As a man of simple pleasures, I can't speak highly enough of this menu and location. The food is so well presented, the tastes are amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed every moment we had in this venue. Just perfect for a special occasion. Very much recommended.

Took my wife for a birthday meal, the food was amazing in fact unbelievable how amazing it was. We started with the sharer duck, the followed with the sharer beef, I cannot recommend this enough. We then finished the evening by the open fire enjoying cocktails with no pressure to leave. The waitresses were very friendly and attentive, the restaurant manager was very friendly and welcoming.

Had a great afternoon tea, food and tea were endless nicely prepared and presented and my favourite was the fruit scone with jam and cream. Staff were attentive and polite. Great to sit with a partner relax and people watch. Lots of parking. Will definitely be back.

We came here on a Thursday evening and whilst there was a wedding above which sounded lively we had the best evening. The team were great and looked after us. The food was amazing and we will definitely be returning.

Fantastic. Stunning location and building. Lovely room for private party. Fantastic, courteous staff who looked after our every need. Food was superb as usual and made on the premises. Afternoon tea was sumptuous and had choice of traditional or gentlemans afternoon tea. Pastries were yummy to say the least! Everything was perfect. Highly recommended.

We had a good meal at Weston Hall, in a their Cellar restaurant on Saturday. The waitress was very attentive at all times. There were a few problems/mistakes throughout the meal but they managed them well and the waitress kept us happy. We wondered if the kitchen was under-staffed, as timing was one of the issues. They are about the only restaurant in Staffordshire with a small but dedicated vegan menu - top marks for that.We will be happy to go back to give them a second chance!!

My wife and I were treated to Christmas Day lunch by wonderful friends and their family. Although living not too far away we have not eaten here before. From the the time we arrived for the Champagne reception the staff were friendly, courteous and attentive.Parties were seated on large circular tables for the meal but they were spaced so you didn’t feel uncomfortably close. The meal service was excellent. You were given time to enjoy the three excellent and beautifully presented courses. The portions of the main course were such that you were not over faced by a mountain of food, as can happen in some establishments. The staff were excellent in offering to take photographs of your party in your behalf at the table or in front of the Christmas tree so everyone had a reminder of a wonderful Christmas Day lunch.A big thank you to the ALL the staff in the restaurant and in the kitchen for an unforgettable Christmas Day lunch.

A lovely setting and nice food. Be aware that if there is a wedding being held above the cellar restaurant then you'll find that the music and bass travel through the building. Unexpected on a week day evening but it didn't ruin the experience.
